With January behind us it's time to go over all the new updates and changes in Sky Link: Freefire.

Garage

Working out the issues in the UI while in the garage and getting everything perfect has been a primary focus throughout January. The hitboxes for the drones have been corrected and the UI itself has had a major overhaul. We're adding a party system to more easily find and play with your friends! The work to set this up is ongoing, and there's still some work to do before this is ready though it's definitely the biggest news this year!



The Leaderboard has been updated and is still undergoing changes. Currently it looks great, and we have a list of playtesters in their rankings!

Some other updates made to the UI in January include:
* Enlarged text for higher resolution PCs
* Issue with player's names not displaying on kills has been fixed!



VFX
Our VFX team has been making some pretty awesome changes to the weapons this month. Weapon animations are being updated and are looking really good.
Fixed a bug that caused the flak projectile to stay visible in the air for some time after detonating.
Below you can see the newly implemented muzzle flash on the machine gun.
Some additional VFX updates in January include:
* Fixed a few issues with flak projectile's trails.
* Reduced the size of the flak projectile's mesh to be more reasonable.



SFX

Updates to the sounds in Sky Link continue to amaze me. The sniper rifle sounds so real now. You can hear the crack in the air as the bullet breaks the sound barrier. Weapon’s continue to be a focus in sounds throughout January as well as some additional updates to further build out the atmosphere.

* Added basic sound playback to the flak projectiles.
* Fix announcer ducking other audio.
* Fix multi kill announcer assets.

Other News
A new mode is being set up for Drone Racing! This is big news, and while it's a work in progress you'll want to keep your eyes peeled for more updates. The Checkpoints are being set up and configured and there will definitely be more to report on Drone Racing in the near future.

Environmental Station Alpha - Hempuli
ESA has currently some issues with crashing on Win11 platforms, and as announced previously, the MacOS version doesn't run at all. We're working on addressing these issues by porting the game to a new codebase which makes handling of these things easier and/or actually possible. At the same time the gamepad support should become better, as a nice bonus.

In the meantime it's recommended that you hold off from purchasing the game because the porting will take a bit of time and while it's underway the issues will be around.

Apologies for the trouble; I had hoped to get these things handled together with the release of ESA2, but the problems cropped up faster than expected, requiring us to take action.

Bug Fixes
  1. Fixed the issue where players couldn't play a card in PAWS after customizing controller buttons
  2. Fixed the mismatched song names and actual songs in the jukebox
  3. Fixed the occasional sudden death issue when playing PAWS
  4. Fixed the issue where the camera couldn't be moved while playing PAWS
  5. Fixed the issue on Xbox One where all throwable items lacked special effects
  6. Fixed the issue where Princess Carrot and Longshanks Sunny did not show their models in the character list
  7. Fixed the UI issue where the prompt to stand up did not appear after sitting in a PAWS chair
  8. Fixed the UI issue where the sit down prompt was still shown even when someone was sitting in a PAWS chair
Optimizations
  1. Updated some of the character descriptions

I wish you all good luck in the Year of the Dragon in advance. May you all be able to play the games you want to play!

Since the first release of "Indies’ Lie" on Steam EA, it has been almost two years, and we would like to express our special thanks to the players who have supported "Indies’ Lie"; during this period, we are also incubating a NEW game. The new game is still based on deck building, and it will incorporate some turn-based tactics gameplay elements. It is tentatively named "Indies 2: Burning Kindling ".

As usual, let me briefly introduce our original intention for this new game. Based on our experience in "Indies’Lie", we hope to do more exploration and possibilities in the DBG gameplay to bring you a new experience; in Based on the basic model of "Indies’ Lie", we introduced some gameplay elements of turn-based tactics, hoping to have more choices and interest in player positions and target selection strategies; after several rounds of iterations of gameplay, and finally determined the feeling we wanted

Like the previous game, we take three characters to fight together. Considering that both DBG and turn-based tactics are relatively difficult to play—— DBG has a high threshold and is difficult to get started, while turn-based tactics is relatively unpopular and time-consuming, and both require certain strategies and much more thinking. In order not to let you are working too hard during the game, so we have made appropriate subtractions from the DBG part. The decisions and thinking in the turn-based tactics part are also tried to be rhythmically different from the DBG strategy, hoping to bring you a brand new experience.

The worldview of " Burning Kindling " also continues the previous one. The timeline is pushed back about 80 years. The entire continent of Mekka has been destroyed by the invasion of Magic Copper and has become fragmented. The people have been displaced. Our group needs to go through various experiences. Challenges in different forms, hoping to find a way to heal the Mekka continent and ignite the fire in people's hearts

New exploration will bring many challenges and difficulties, and there will be many shortcomings and trials and errors in the future. We hope that you can give us more inclusion, and we also very much hope that you can give us more feedback and support. We will actively Listen to your opinions and feedback, and actively iteratively optimize and improve quality

A few hundred words cannot express our love for indie games. We hope that " Burning Kindling " can bring players a brand new DBG game experience.
