iVRy Driver for SteamVR (Smartphone, GearVR/Oculus & PSVR) has been updated to version 1.1.5.0.

This build contains the following changes:
- Add support for GearVR/Oculus iVRy app

Firstly, thankyou for those in the community who bought DWT since it's release in August. It is great to see so many people enjoying the game, as much as we enjoyed making it. 😀

2020 for many was an incredibly challenging year. Fortunately there were also many highlights.

The release of Desert Wings Tobruk, added the Desert Air War to the fast growing flight sim world. 2020 was arguably one of the best years for flight sims ever. We saw a number of outstanding new releases and upgrades in other sims as well as Cliffs/Tobruk.

We are proud to be a part of the best gaming community in the world, and thank you all for your valued place within it. 👍

We all hope 2021 will see yourselves and families stay safe and healthy.

From our players review on the game, I am working on fixing the reported issues and within 2 weeks, a new update will be released. here are the following issues that will be fixed in coming update.

1) Option for remapping controls

January Balance changes
This release, like any others, brings some balance changes to the new season starting on January 1st, including a new mechanic - VITALITY.

Vitality is essentially a reverse poison, not only does it heal poison, but it also buffs units by 1 strength at the beginning of every turn. Similarly, poison cancels Vitality. Both of them are not subject to cancelation via freeze.

- Broken Truce now costs 4 mana (up from 3) and will randomly dispatch the leftover damage amongst all surrounding units and structures (bases excluded),
- Xuri, Lord of Life now vitalizes friendly units it flies over,
- Potion of Growth now vitalizes the target and buffs for 2/3/4/5/6 (down from 3/4/5/6/7),
- Sunbeam Serpents - no longer need to bordering a dragon to activate their ability,
- Chilled Stonedames costs 5 mana (up from 4) and no longer need the enemy units in front to be weaker,
- Linked Golems's base strength is now 2/2/3/3/3 (up from 1/1/2/2/3), and their ability grants 1/2/2/3/4 (down from 2/3/3/4/5).

Nerf Compensation:
Owners of Linked Golems will be compensated proportionally to the level of the card: 0/15/40/120/250 coins and 0/2/5/10/20 Fusion Stones.

1. Fixed the reported bug where multiple shells/bullets caused excessive damage to enemies.
A. Carrot: mk.3 missile
B. Multi-tank: 9-unit rocket
C. Super tank: 9-unit missile
D. Missile tank: Guided missile
E. Cross Bow : Posion arrow barrage

2. The shield of the laser tank has been modified so that the intermittent bullet pinch does not occur.

3. Fixed a bug that forcedly changed to low resolution when changing options.

4. Fixed a bug where tank images were gathered in the character selection before entering the battle.

5. Fixed an issue where Gem payments did not proceed properly in some areas.

6. The amount of fuel required for JUMP has been increased.

the world finally made it through 2020, so here's a treat to start out the new year!

Highlights
Melee Rebalance
This attempts to balance brawl-centric styles of play with other playing styles by making the following changes:
  • Bring gun brawl (stock attack) damage down to the current level of regular melee attacks, so that you cannot 1-hit-kill people with 100% health even if you have the bouncer's melee buff unless you have a heavy weapon (Persuader/Vindicator/Black Magic).
  • Melee attacks can now no longer be held down for more than 5 punches.
    People have been abusing the full-auto nature of melee attacks using console commands and this fixes that.
  • Style bar usage for melee attacks is now based on the damage potential of the attack.
  • Akimbo Stallions/Sentinels now have the same melee damage as a single Stallion/Sentinel

Diminishing certain bonuses over time
  1. After winning a race/dropping off a briefcase/killing the wanted, you are rewarded with a super style meter.
    This meter's depletion rate is now doubled every minute.
    The initial depletion rate has been halved to compensate.
  2. When chosen as the wanted, you get healed every time you kill someone.
    This heal will now halve every minute.
    The initial amount of healing has been doubled to compensate.
This will mean that even experienced players will no longer be able to hold on to these bonuses for an extreme amount of time.

No longer automatically dropping weapons to make room for weapons picked up from the ground
This stalled people too much in case the game dropped the wrong gun. Press G to drop manually. The old behaviour can be restored with the "da_drop_overflow_on_pickup" variable.

Other changes
  • Add Russian translation for the menus by Louie
  • Fix a race condition in the vote kick system allowing people to survive a kick vote by reconnecting at a certain time
  • Make da_version_server respond in rcon properly
  • Changed a few drums from prop_physics to prop_physics_multiplayer in order to be able to walk through them.

What now?
The official servers have been updated or will be updated once they have drained of players using the old version.
All other server owners have been notified about this update and will probably update their servers to the new version very soon.

You will not be able to find servers that haven't updated yet with the in-game server browser.
However, you will be able to find them using the Steam server browser, but trying to connect will yield a version mismatch error.
I recommend using the in-game server browser until all servers have updated.
