1. Starting from July 18, take a photo using the in-game screenshot command (Print Screen button) or any screengrab program to take a picture. Use your creativity to make the picture stand out! Rules and Photography tips below. Post a screenshot with only your character wearing your hottest summer fashion with a summer themed background that compliments the costume and the theme of summer! 

2. Take a photo! The in-game screenshot tool takes .jpg photos. You should be able to post these directly to Discord. If you are using a separate tool and need to convert to .jpg, try using this site:

4. Post the screenshot in the #neo-chroma-summer or #live-chroma-summer channel on Discord in the CREATIVE Category. If it is not showing up in your channel list, please click on "Channels & Roles" and then "Browse Channels" to find and enable the CREATIVE category.

5. When uploading your photo, please use the template below:

If any of this information is missing, it is possible your submission will be disqualified. This will be the character that is awarded the items if you win and/or awarded for participation rewards.

6. The contest ends on July 29th at maintenance. Shortly after, our staff with judge the photos and announce the winners. Winners will be notified in Discord. All rewards and participation rewards will go out after.

1. To post on social media towards our community Stretch Goals for additional rewards, choose between posting on X or Instagram! All you have to do is post the same submission from Discord, but with a few changes that relate towards social media.

• The main criteria will be your fashion choice and how it matches well with your background of choosing. Big points will go to those who get most creative within the Summer Theme.

• Additional criteria will be how creative you are with your photo composition. A well composed screenshot always leaves a great first impression.

• Each person may only submit one photo during this contest. However, one person is allowed to participate in both LIVE and NEO’s contest if you play both games. If you have multiple characters on other servers, please choose only one to submit per game type. If you've submitted your first photo and have decided later during the event that you'd like to replace it, simply delete the old photo and upload the new one to the same channel.

• This contest is for one character submission only. No group photo submissions please.

• The photo must be taken during the contest's duration. Please do not post old photos. This makes it so everyone has a fair chance to submit a photo with what is currently available in Blade & Soul LIVE and NEO.

• Using image editing software to retouch, add filters, color enhancements, or any other manipulation is not allowed. However, you may adjust the cropping, brightness, and contrast of your photos.

• Do not post your photo in the Discord channel in a file format that is not compatible. Make sure your image is showing correctly in the channel. Tips on how to convert the photo are below.

• Try and use some of these options to get creative: Idle Visual Effects, Head Wear, Eye Wear, Pets, Mount, Illusion Visual Effects, Background Elements etc.

• Remove all the game interface by pressing Ctrl + X to unclutter the frame

• To take a screenshot using the in-game tool, the default button is Print Screen on your keyboard, or use any other tool you prefer. Pictures will usually be saved on your computer in: Pictures > BnS

• Use creative composition with the in-game camera! Use it any way you'd like.

• Be creative with your camera angles.

• Items, other players, weapons, and more can all be used to add creativity to your photo.

• Try raising your graphics settings and screen resolution to enhance the photo.

We have received bug reports that players are experiencing a black screen error once they launch the game. Our team is currently looking into the issue and we should have a patch fix for the issue within a few hours. It is inexcusable that such a major bug was not detected within our internal QA prior to launch and we extend our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Thank you all for joining us in this very early stage of Coreless's development. Your support during the first week has been incredibly heartwarming and encouraging.

Coreless launched in a minimal but functional state — something closer to the old-school spirit of Early Access. As a small team, this approach allows us to stay nimble, avoid building in a vacuum, and grow the game with players, not ahead of them.

Of course, this approach comes with risks, especially in today’s competitive landscape where most EA titles are polished and well-funded. That’s why we’re deeply grateful to everyone who chose to dive in despite the game’s rough edges — your early support truly means the world to us.

We’re committed to making Coreless the best version of itself. Not just because of your backing, but because there’s a lot we want to express through this game.

Coreless gives us a flexible foundation to explore a variety of exciting design directions, such as:

Along with this first thank-you letter, we're also releasing our first patch, focused primarily on onboarding improvements and game flow clarity. Here’s what’s included:

1. New Difficulty Setting (now renamed to "Sequence")

   A new introductory sequence has been added with basic tutorial guidance.

2. UI Clarity Improvements

   Several UI elements have been updated to better communicate mechanics like the Poise Meter, Potential Rewards, etc. More improvements are coming in future patches.

3. Stage 1 & 2 Improvement

   These stages now follow a timeline system, spawning elite packs at set intervals. Defeating them grants upgrade rewards. This improves flow clarity and allows players to plan their exploration.

   Also, shrines in Stage 1 now require manual activation, giving players more control over when to begin challenges. Let us know how this change feels — it’s a substantial shift in early-stage exploration.

4. Difficulty Renamed to “Sequence”

   Formerly Easy/Normal/Hard, the system is now CX-0, CX-1, CX-2, etc. This sets the stage for a major content update next month.

5. Monster Balancing

   Overall monster difficulty has been reduced to improve pacing and approachability. Stage 4 still needs more work, and we'll be releasing patches in coming weeks for it.

6. Power & Path Upgrades Rebalanced

   Powers are now easier to obtain and fill out, while Path upgrades appear less frequently. Further tuning for Path upgrades is planned.

7. New Unique Addon: “Maintainer’s Toolkit”

   This addon is now granted once when the player first starts the game. It’s designed to provide early stability and subtly reflects the current state of the Coreless world.

8. Boss Spawns No Longer Remove Interactables

   All interactables now remain active even when a boss appears.

9. Kat's Overdrive Targeting Toggle

   You can now toggle Kat's Overdrive to prioritize elites and bosses.

10. Booster Upgrades Rebalanced

    Crit Booster has been removed; Attack Speed Booster is now more effective. A new booster that increases Overdrive Haste has been added. Overdrive positioning in the game will receive further tweaks in future updates.

11. Expanded Reward Pool

    Many more consumables can now drop as rewards.

12. Miscellaneous Fixes

    Various bug fixes and general improvements.

We’ll likely continue releasing small hotfixes to address any urgent issues as they come up. Meanwhile, we’re working on our first major content update, scheduled for next month. We’ll share more information as we get closer — stay tuned.

Why is the EU server going to be called Cinderlands instead of Moonwater Plains?

We are basing the new server names on the creation date of the servers. Cinderlands and Heaven’s Reach happened to be the very first servers we created, so we will be merging newer servers into the original servers.

What about Character Names? Will my Character Name conflict with someone else on the newly merged server?

Character names are already unique per region, so there will be no conflict.

If there are any changes or additional guidance required regarding the server merge, we will provide additional notice.

• Due to changes in the levels, THE LEADERBOARDS GOT RESET SO GO GET YOUR BEST TIMES RIGHT MEOW!

• A LOT of optimization through GPU batching! Things should be running much smoother than before. This will mean bye bye to our glowing walls for the time being.

• New meshes for our cat beds! Fresher look with a faster vibe.

• Improvements on the levels based on feedback and playtesting from our last in-person event (Twitch Vancouver Technological Exploration)
