The Extracurricular Pack includes 12 new game cards (3 rare, 4 uncommon, 5 common) designed by Orange Juice, and illustrated by Oyama, 490, jo, Kagawa Yusaku, TangoStar, Azuree, and Coffgirl.

Banner Cards!

The Extracurricular Pack introduces a new type of cards: Banners!

These cards can be very strong - the unique aspect of Banner cards is that they provide a game-wide effect until disabled.

Banners are set on the field like face-up Trap cards, but unlike Traps, their effect is active until a player (or in co-op also Boss or minion) steps on them!

New Keyword: Trigger


Cards with the Trigger effect have a base effect, but if certain conditions are met while carrying them, their description updates into a different one! If the card leaves your hand after triggering, the effect is lost.

You may also note our new tech on the card - dynamic descriptions! Certain parts of the cards are grayed out depending on the active effect. In the screenshot, the Trigger condition has already been met, so the original effect is inactive.

New Keyword: Repeat


Repeat cards have a very special quality - the effect gets updated each time the card is played during the match! As with Trigger, this ability takes advantage of our new method of coloring the text based on active effect.

Notably, the Repeat effect activates whenever any player plays a card by the same name, which makes it more likely for higher Repeat levels to activate during a game. The Repeat count is permanent for the whole game, so when you draw a new copy of the card, it will instantly be at the higher Repeat level.

In total, the pack contains:
  • 3 new Banner cards: Protection Fee, Fluffy and Fuzzy, and Feel the Rush with an Energy Drink
  • 3 new Boost cards: Full Burst, Chef's Special, and Go with the Flow
  • 2 new Battle cards: Mousse the Thief and Coming Back Stronger
  • 2 new Event cards: Extreme Alteration and The Greatest Troublemaker Ever
  • 2 new Gift cards: Look How Long My Arms and Legs Are Now and We're Ticked Off
  • Card illustrations by Oyama, 490, jo, Kagawa Yusaku, Tango, Azuree, and Coffgirl[/list]

    Character Difficulty Ratings

    A new Character Difficulty rating has been added to Character Select menu! This is designed to especially help new players find characters to play that suit their current experience level. All characters are rated 1 to 5 stars, based on complexity of play and dependence on specific card decking.

    There are also many fixes and version 3.26 ~ Fluffy and Fuzzy ~, please see patch notes for full details!

Our latest monthly patch is now live on our beta branch and comes with a whole host of bug fixes and performance improvements.

As usual, here is how to add the beta branch to your game on Steam.

  • Open the Steam on your PC and locate Forever Skies in your games library.

  • Right click - PROPERTIES - BETAS

  • Put in the password: BlimpWorkshop

  • From the dropdown menu select the beta branch titled: beta_flight

  • Press the blue "Opt into beta_flight..." button

  • In your games library click on Forever Skies \[beta_flight]

  • Install the test branch

A FEW HIGHLIGHTS

A lot of work has been done on the overall game performance with this patch. Especially performance related to weather and large airship builds.

We would love to demonstrate this better for you, but Steam News Posts allow me to only use 12fps, 5gb GIF’s (thanks, Valve). We recommend switching to the beta and trying it out for yourself :P

For those who prefer to use a controller while playing, we have added full aim-assist support for additional tools, such as the Extractor and Scanner.

As part of this, we’ve also added sliders to adjust sensitivity and dead zones. Giving you more control than ever before.

  • Fixed an issue which prevented the player from picking up an attachment from a device (Hanging Shelf, for example).

  • Items consumed in the Research Station now appear in log messages

ADDED:

  • (Independent Gamepad Stick Sensitivity Adjustment) added ability to set the Left Controller Stick settings in the Options Menu (it was needed for the "Tweak analog sticks dead zones" task)

  • Added improved Rain performance

  • Added motion/gyro input from the PS4/PS5 controllers to the Deck Extractor

  • Added Aim Assist to the Extractor and Scanner

  • Added sliders to tweak gamepad dead zones to the Options Menu

Monastery: Ora et Labora - Haldamir

Hello everyone!

From July 3rd to 5th, we had the incredible opportunity to present a preview demo of Monastery: Ora et Labora at Ortigia Comics & Games, one of Sicily’s events for comics, games, and geek culture!

We were thrilled to meet so many passionate players and creators. Watching people get their hands on the game for the first time, managing their own medieval monastery was both exciting and left us full of appreciation.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to the event organisers for hosting us, and to all the playtesters who stopped by our booth. Your feedback, questions, and enthusiasm gave us great energy and fresh perspectives as we continue development.
