Supercat Survivors: Meow or Die - 蜗爷

Hello, Supercats! Recently, we've been hard at work fixing bugs and developing new content. Many issues will be resolved in the next update, along with the launch of a new mode and seasonal leaderboard gameplay! Thank you all for reporting the issues and for your support!

Paired with this mode will be a seasonal leaderboard, which will record and rank your survival time in the Survival Challenge. You'll be able to see who's at the top of the list when it comes to saving Meow Star!

The Survival Challenge Mode is still in development, but here’s a sneak peek at the general gameplay~ The first 19 waves of the Survival Challenge are similar to the normal mode, designed to be easier and more exciting. However, starting from the 20th wave, the survival timer begins: the shop will no longer appear, monster stats will gradually strengthen over time, and Bosses will spawn periodically until you’re defeated. In such harsh conditions, Supercats can only rely on the weapons and items accumulated in the first 19 waves to fight through the horde! Your survival duration in the Survival Challenge Mode will be recorded on the seasonal leaderboard.

Each season, 3 Supercats will receive enhancements (without affecting the normal mode) and gain extra traits. They’ll become the main force in seasonal battles!

Similarly, 3 items will receive stat boosts (also without affecting the normal mode) to help Supercats survive longer in combat.

Each season’s Survival Challenge Mode will also have a global buff that benefits all Supercats equally. Who knows—will we introduce debuffs in the future? Heh heh heh~

As previously announced on our Discord Server, we’re rolling out an important update to how equipment works. In short, we’re removing all Chance attributes from regular equips and converting them into flat values of their related base stat. Below you’ll find a concise overview of how Chance works today, why it’s being phased out, and what this means for your equip stack.


1. How Chance Works Today

  • A Chance attribute gives a percentage probability that an equip will grant an extra chunk of a base stat (e.g. 10% probability of getting +80 Rejoin points).

  • Equipping multiple equips with the same Chance attribute adds the probability percentages together, not the bonus itself.



2. Why We’re Making the Change

  • Run-away scaling
    • What Happens Now: Stacking several equips pushes Chance values close to 100%.
    • Why It’s a Problem: We would need to keep inventing new, stronger Chance tiers every few months, bloating the system.
  • Unclear pricing
    • What Happens Now: The true power of an equip swings wildly depending on the other gear you combine it with.
    • Why It’s a Problem: Hard to price equips fairly on the market; becomes confusing for buyers and the value might be different since you bought it.
  • Diminishing returns at the cap
    • What Happens Now: Once you’re near 100%, adding more Chance does nothing (110% works exactly like 100%).
    • Why It’s a Problem: Players end up investing in stats that stop growing, then must start over with a brand-newChance category.
  • Unhealthy play patterns
    • What Happens Now: Some players deliberately "reset" their match repeatedly until the bonus triggers.
    • Why It’s a Problem: This interrupts normal gameplay and isn’t behaviour we want to encourage.


3. What Will Happen to My Equips?
  • Every Chance roll on existing items will be converted into a fixed amount of its corresponding base stat, scaled to the item’s level.
  • If your total probability was ~80% or higher, you’ll generally end up with at least the bonus you were already getting or more.
  • For items that had low Chance percentages, the new flat value may feel smaller. However:
    • The item will still be worth exactly its stated level.
    • It will now be directly comparable to other items with similar stat set and level.
    • If it no longer fits your build, you can sell it and pick up something that does.


4. Are Chance Attributes Gone for Good?
Not entirely. They’ll disappear from normal equips, but we plan to reintroduce the mechanic later via passive items or other special items. In that context, we can prevent stacking and design more interesting, controlled interactions.

5. When?
The migration is already live. Log in now and you’ll find all affected items already converted to their new flat-stat values in your inventor: no extra steps required.

  • TIME ATTACKS

There are 11 routes available. You can find them on the map. You'll also see a specific sign near the road.

You can try time attacks with all your cars. Your time will be measured. To complete the time attack, you must pass all the checkpoints. Exiting the car ends the attempt.

It’s time to sharpen your blades, refill your potions, and prepare for a brand-new way to experience Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree. Update 1.6 is live, and with it arrives one of our most anticipated features: New Game+.

But Update 1.6 carries more than challenge alone. It also introduces new weapons, major quality-of-life improvements, reworked enemy encounters, smoother combat, polished visuals, and a host of bug fixes.

As always, thank you for walking this path with us. Your feedback continues to shape every branch of the journey, and great things are still on the horizon.

New Game+ Has Arrived

Brace yourself for the ultimate trial. With New Game+, you can now restart your journey using your battle-hardened Inquisitor and progress through as many NG+ cycles as you dare. Difficulty will continue to scale for the first 10, each one more punishing than the last.

  • Enemies grow tougher with every cycle, scaling their strength to match your power.

  • NG+ versions of weapons, off-hands, and rings can now be found to upgrade your arsenal.

  • Random empowered auras and effects will appear on enemies, offering both greater danger and greater rewards.

Prefer to take it easy? You can also replay the base game at NG+0 with your fully equipped Inquisitor.

New Content & Features
  • New Weapons Added: Aurora (Mid-game Daggers), Crimson Slicer (Late-game Daggers), and Reignbreaker (Late-game Two-Handed Mace).

Quality of Life Updates
  • Added a feature that allows players to remove Skill Upgrades and refund their cost at the Witch Altar.

  • Individual Talents and Nodes can now be unlearned and refunded at the Witch Altar.

  • Added an option to instantly learn Talents and Nodes with a single button press.

  • Vendor items now display a small icon to indicate if they are not yet unlocked in your Collection.

  • Increased Witch Stone selection radius when the Map view is zoomed out.

  • Added Quick Buy/Sell to the General tab of the Options window.

Gameplay Improvements

Movement & Combat
  • Glide can now be activated during a later phase of the jump/fall.

  • Glide's auto-cancel height has been lowered to reduce events where Glide gets cancelled by unintended early landing.

  • Increased the time window for grabbing ledges and ladders during falls.

  • You can now turn around during Heavy Attack wind-up.

  • From now on, your Character will only let go of ledges and walls when taking heavy damage.

  • Sprint and Roll no longer consume Stamina in Tombstone Hollows.

  • Controller vibration fine-tuned across various attacks.

Quest Adjustments
  • Dark Ale has been updated with better balance, rewards, and gameplay improvements.

  • Increased rewards for the following secondary quests:

    • A Life Left Behind

    • Clayborne’s Request

    • Echoes of a Distant Land

    • Old Regrets

    • The Talking Skull

    • The Timeless Traveler

    • Thief

Inquisitor Attacks & Weapons
  • Nightshade’s Shadowstep reach increased to match its particle effect.

  • Vanguard’s Eternal Rage Talent now activates at a consistent flat Adrenaline value (100).

  • Added Spirit scaling to the stagger effect of the Vindicator's Astral Guardians skill.

  • The damage increase from the Vanguard’s Revenge Talent now also applies to Shield Charge.

  • Light Attacks with Daggers now generate Adrenaline.

Bosses & Enemies
  • Adjusted Sleepwalker Phase 2 difficulty and removed unavoidable damage events.

  • Updated Sleepwalker ability hitboxes and preparation times to improve the fight.

  • Tweaked a mechanic in Phase 2 of the Final Boss fight that required players to stand still to trigger the homing orbs' explosion.

  • Adjusted the Phase 2 beam contact damage area in the Final Boss fight to better match the visuals.

  • Updated Lord Auberon's Phase 2 light area visuals to better understand how to avoid taking damage.

  • Increased the distance between fissures created by the Entropic Forest Giant.

  • Slight balance adjustment to enemy placement in Lochmuir Village.

World Changes
  • A number of Small Spike Pits are now non-lethal and shallower — you can jump out!

  • Slight adjustments and bug fixes to geometry across various levels.

Visuals & Effects
  • When using Jump Pads in Entropy, your Inquisitor will now transform into their energy form for the duration of the jump.

  • Adjusted the facing direction when looking at NPCs.

  • Air Attack animations improved.

  • Numerous tweaks to character and cutscene animations.

  • Polished visual effects in:

    • The Tome Mistress fight.

    • The Inquisitors fight

    • Attack impacts and blood splash effects.

    • Weapon trail effects and enemy animations.

  • Added particle effects to movable boxes.

  • Small to medium updates to a number of enemy animations.

  • Added missing visual effect to Step Into the Sunlight quest.

  • Visual improvements to weapon trail effects.

  • Updated the visual effect for the Entropy Portal.

User Interface (UI) Improvements
  • Inactive Skill Set’s resource bars now appear on the HUD.

  • Tweaked node navigation in the Witch Lantern upgrades window at the Witch Altar.

  • Tweaked node navigation in the Skill Upgrade screen.

  • Ranks (1-3 stars) have been added to enemy unlocks in the Bestiary list.

  • Statistics page now shows collected Diagrams by vendor type.

  • Various item icons received a visual polish pass.

  • Adjusted margins in Character Creator for localization.

  • Changed a misleading Perished message when failing in the Dreamfields. In this case, the Inquisitor falls into eternal slumber.

Bug Fixes
  • Various crash fixes.

  • Fixed Weapon Oil effects incorrectly scaling with main attributes. These effects were always intended to provide a flat bonus.

  • Fixed an issue where Lunge Attack could trigger certain Talents multiple times per use.

  • Fixed an issue where the Eruptive Brambles Talent could trigger from fall damage.

  • Fixed an issue where Molten Strikes generated double combo points when used with daggers.

  • Fixed an issue where Huy's Quill's Spellbook Companion would despawn if used again while already active.

  • Fixed an issue where Toxic Shiv projectiles could bounce between solid surfaces.

  • Fixed an issue where upgraded Astral Guardians and Fiery Rush could not be used with Freecast.

  • Fixed an issue where the Wyld Vines upgrade mark could incorrectly appear on breakable objects.

  • Fixed an issue where the Sic 'Em! Wyldwarden Talent could not properly target Ambush Arachnids.

  • Fixed an issue where hitting multiple targets at once could generate multiple Combo Points.

  • Fixed an issue where certain damaging effects created by the player character’s skills could deal self-damage after loading a saved game.

  • Fixed an issue where Upgrade III of Shadow Shards did not push enemies back.

  • Fixed a bug affecting Thorn Dance damage calculation.

  • Fixed an issue where Chaos Tentacles could incorrectly appear on top of enemies’ heads.

  • Fixed an issue where Nightshade’s Shadowstep could not damage Queen of Smiles while she was attacking.

  • Fixed unintended Player Character death during the Marionettes fight cutscenes.

  • Fixed Player Camera hiccups and glitches on various levels.

  • Fixed a problem with breakable floor interact ranges.

  • Fixed a bug that caused a recent interact event to get stuck behind the scenes, thus preventing the Player from breaking certain floors.

  • Fixed an issue where certain zones did not trigger the "New Area Discovered!" notification.

  • Fixed several Map Layout inconsistencies.

  • Fixed an issue where Boss levels were not visible when using the Large UI Scale setting.

  • Fixed Map's bottom hotkey bar out-of-bounds bug in certain languages with the Large UI Scale setting.

  • Fixed Bestiary update notification being outside of the screen edges with the Large UI Scale setting.

  • Fixed an issue where an incorrect number was shown in the statistics for the Witch Stones.

  • Fixed an issue where controller vibration could get stuck if the player character died while holding Heavy Attack.

  • Fixed an issue where the player character could get stuck in the jump-off ladder animation when dying.

  • Fixed an issue that caused Channeling skills to remain locked in casting state when pressing a combination of buttons at the same time.

  • Fixed an issue where area discovery showed 100% on the Map while the Player was on another level, even though the connecting Entropy Rift had not been cleared.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Necromancer's door seal effect to replay when loading a saved game or visiting it again after traveling from another level.

  • Fixed Warg's portal incorrectly reopening after loading a saved game.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented one of the Entropic Chests and the chest of the Old Regrets quest from rewarding loot after loading a saved game. The missing loot can now be found at the corresponding chests.

  • Fixed a graphics material bug that could cause certain enemy models to appear covered in a white shader.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Blood Eye model to sometimes not behave properly when killed.
