Sorry again to folks who ran into a weird bug with the [wait forever] option earlier today.

I just pushed what should be a fix for those issues to a beta branch. You can access the branch with the password waitforevertest

If you ran into the problems that came up in this thread (https://steamcommunity.com/app/1989270/eventcomments/4630356482652714742?snr=2_9_100003_) switching to the test branch *should* resolve the issue. And if this branch doesn't cause any unforeseen issues, I'll move it to live tomorrow.

If you're in the majority of players whose game is currently working properly, only try out this branch if you're willing to test it out and make sure it doesn't cause any issues with your game.

Costume system



3 new Costumes have been added!
You can buy them with bones that I hope you'll already collected plenty^^

2 ways to get bones:
  • You can buy them in a shop exchanging candies for bones
  • When you die your candies convert to bones 4 to 1(so make sure to buy bones when you can)

In the future, there will be specific traits to the costume but for now, they are motivators to play more, like a little milestone and a way to refresh the experience with a shiny new costume^^

Dual Pistols

By watching different gamers play I notice how nobody likes to use the attack on the right mouse button
So I changed this attack to a dual pistol combo that is very nice to tap into

Pistols deal little damage but deal more damage to posture (yellow bar on enemies)

They also get their infusions that you can get in a run

Charge Attacks
To make combat more stylish and interesting I decided to bring charge attacks
If you hold the attack button (left or right mouse button) then you will perform a unique animation depending on your weapon

Other
  • Parry has been buffed by spawning an explosion that deals damage around the player
  • Shops now have bigger icons when you are far away from them and have enough candy for them
  • New icons to Infused Dash and Jump
  • Little animation for HUD when opening level
  • Chrono stun is cycled out from the infusion pool since it made parrying so much harder

Future plans
I'm ecstatic about the game and the reception! Fired up to work more
Sadly my productivity has been low and I was figuring out the way to move forward here is a short-term plan

The next update will address criticisms of quality of life. I will work on the settings menu, and bugs and make the overall UI more user-friendly, Steam Achievements, better Controller support
I hope to push it ASAP

After that there will be an update with a better progression system - I planned to make it with costumes and even got decent progress. So there is half of it done

Longterm

For now, Roguelike will be the top priority moving forward
I want to make the ultimate Roguelike experience with completely different biomes to choose from, an innovative progression system, a bunch of weapons, infusions, and active abilities
The goal is to make players choose in which order to go through biomes giving incentives to do that with different build

After Roguelike is polished I want to go through the story content
