Sector Unknown - Prologue - Creative Storm Entertainment
Just a quick announcement to let people know that Sector Unknown launches on Wednesday, July 16th at 10:00 AM Pacific / 1:00 PM Eastern / 6:00 PM UK / 7:00 PM Central Europe.

The game will be priced at $24.99 USD, with a 15% launch discount during the first week.

The game is story-complete, so you can play it from start to finish.
I’ll be adding the occasional side quest after launch based on player feedback and ideas, along with Hell’s Gate — a notorious prison facility orbiting a star, planned as a free DLC/update down the road. But as far as the main story goes, the game is in its intended state.



As far as I can see from testing, the game is in a pretty solid state bug-wise, thanks to the amazing feedback from players during the demo. A special thanks goes to Michela for the daily bug reports! There will still be the odd issue to work through, of course — especially with space combat (I’m working on those now) — but overall, I feel very confident going into this launch.

Here are a few of the main things I’ll be working on during Early Access (as mentioned before):

  • Combat – It’s fully functional, but I’ll be tightening it up based on player feedback throughout Early Access.
  • Space Combat – Also working, but I’ve got additional plans here. I’ll be expanding it with new abilities and skill tie-ins, especially related to your pilot (whether that’s you or a companion).
  • Armor Sets – Right now, space suits and clothing come with baked-in armor stats. I’d like to introduce proper armor sets for planets that don’t require environmental protection.
  • Performance Optimization – Always ongoing. I’ll keep tuning things for better performance as we go.
  • And More – Controller support, facial hair colors, a detachable camera, romance options, criminal background options in dialogue, weapon swapping, and some other community requests are all on the radar as well.
With that said, it's been a long three years of development — but there’s light at the end of the tunnel. I’m excited to see what people think of the full game!

These first eight achievements are based on (successfully) completing contracts with each modifier, as well as getting five stars on any contract.

Retro-Active

If you have a saved game with contracts already complete, load into the home map and you will receive these achievements retro-actively.

1. Optimized the performance of the discard button in the warehouse interface to make it more obvious

2. Optimized the performance of the task bar after entering the indoor building

Bug fixes

1. Fixed the problem that you can still click to make (thus causing a bug) when making equipment and accessories, including the same problem in the animations of cooking, exploration and consuming time

2. Fixed the problem that the guidance pop-up window may appear in the plot

3. Fixed the problem that the return button on the task interface does not appear when there is no task

Tunnel Days are 2, 7, 12, 18, and 23 so far !! Start on Day 2 and continue to Day 23. Once
you beat all those tunnels help a friend. Use the Wallet restart menu in game, to jump to the tunnel days faster.

All guns now have true recoil, when you fire any gun there is specific recoil pattern that you will see based on that weapon type on your targets. This can be turned off in the settings wallet menu.

BLAMMO !!

The most important thing to find is the minimap, every tunnel has one. Once you learn how to find the minimap (follow the blood) you are ready to explore that tunnel much easier, use the TAB key to zoom in and out and hold Tab key to close the minimap. To replay the tunnels in all their glory press F7 from the main menu to erase tunnel progress.

Bosses now have a shield during their mechanic execution phase which makes them immortal, gotta run fast now.

Rescaled the Arcanite Ball projectile to be bigger.
Repurposed the Enemy Medium Cannon to fire 2 projectiles with a 5 degrees angle spread while also lowering their base damage from 15 to 7
