New Character Endings
- Every character (except Bill, temporarily) now has a unique ending for winning a Mastwork run as them.

New Assets
- Flying minions have a new visual indicator.
- The Garden background has been fixed for 1440p displays.

Misc Changes
- If you skip a masterwork while drafting, you won't be offered another one in your run.
- The ??? button at the masterwork alter has been moved to where the end round button is.
- Music starts a little sooner ahead of the Astral Plane.

Controller Improvements
- You now have to hold the end turn button for half a second before it accepts (same with skips on the encounter reward screen).
- Improved card pile grid scrolling.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed battle spells beams not rendering.
- Fixed a bug that prevents the last card in your hand from being selected.
- Fixed some cards being incorrectly sized at certain resolutions.

It’s time for the new event! Complete the challenges to receive “Trombone”, “Huginn” and “Jackie”, as well as many other rewards from the “Living steel” workbench and event scale!

New event “Living steel”

Attention! The event will be available from June 12 to July 9 inclusive!

  • Event levels and their corresponding rewards will be unlocked as you complete special challenges and earn event experience points.

  • Event experience points are needed to unlock levels and receive rewards.

  • As part of this event, you will receive new challenges: 1 main and 1 additional challenge.

  • New challenges appear every day. All incomplete challenges accumulate.

  • Basic event rewards are available to all players. These include:

    • 50 in-game coins; 

    • “Scout’s container” with a random legendary, epic or special part;

    • Epic workbench coupons;

    • Resource containers;

    • Engineer badges.

  • All additional rewards (marked with an icon of a lock on a blue background) are available only to those who purchased the “Living steel” pack (regular or deluxe edition). Purchasing the deluxe edition immediately unlocks the next 10 levels and all the rewards of the already unlocked levels.

  • Purchasing the pack gives you access to:

    • Certain already produced parts;

    • Recipes for the production of certain upgraded parts on the event workbench;

    • Additional in-game coins;

    • 3 paints, a number of stickers and decorations;

    • “Storage expansion” and “Blueprint storage”;

    • For each subsequent level, starting from 41, you will receive 120 in-game coins as a reward.

Attention! The “Living steel” packs will be available on all platforms from June 12 to July 9 inclusive!

Ketz: Galactic Overlords - Keep Games
A New Step with Redesigned UI
With the launch of Early Access, we’ve taken a fresh look at the visual language behind the systems of Ketz: Galactic Overlords.
All core user interface elements that support gameplay have been redesigned with a focus on clarity, consistency, and usability.
In this developer diary, we’re sharing just a small portion of the comprehensive changes we’ve made.

Mystimech Selection Screen
The Mystimech selection screen, the core of our ability system; is now more readable, structured, and intuitive.
Tier structure, visual separation, and description panels have been reworked to help players make better decisions with ease.


Inventory and Shop
Item frames, rarity colors, and equipment categories have all been updated.
The panel layout has been simplified to make it easier to understand where each item belongs and what effects it provides.
The shop interface has also been redesigned following the same principles.


Together with these examples, all in-game panels are being redesigned.
These systems are being developed with a focus on visual clarity, content density, and fast decision-making; and will be delivered to players in upcoming updates.
What you've seen in this devlog is only a small glimpse of the new interface; the full redesign will be live with the next update.

Graphics Performance and LOD System Updates
To improve in-game performance and better support a variety of hardware configurations, we’ve implemented a new Level of Detail (LOD) system along with graphics quality settings.

Players can now choose between four visual presets: Ultra, High, Medium, and Low.

One of the key optimizations was made in the shadow system. Previously, shadows were rendered using ultra-quality meshes. Now, they’re rendered with low-poly meshes that maintain the same visual quality, resulting in significantly better performance.

Additionally, shaders used by enemies have been optimized.
We fixed logic issues within the shaders and eliminated unnecessary rendering operations, leading to smoother overall performance.
These improvements will be included in upcoming updates.


We're actively expanding the game’s content and continuing to improve Ketz based on player feedback.

  • 🥕 Library: Fixed an issue where traps wouldn't rotate in multiplayer.

UI
  • 🥕 Added Mini Dash Bar: Displays the number of dashes below the current character when dashing.

  • 🥕 Hard Mode Panel: Fixed an issue where it wasn't displaying properly in certain languages.
  • Added weapon auto-aim option feature (can be changed in settings).
  • Modified certain artifacts to show more detailed expected damage values.

Bug Fixes
  • 🥕 Partially fixed an issue where multiple copies of the same item would be dropped when dropping items in certain situations.
  • Fixed an issue where the world map image wasn't displaying properly at certain resolutions.

Multiplayer
  • Modified game flow so that when the host force-quits during multiplayer, clients can select pocket dimension items before returning to the title screen instead of immediately returning.

Other
  • Updated the game's Unity engine version from 2022.3.37f1 to 2022.3.62f1.
