  • New Gadget: Lightning Rod

  • New path (ish): Path of the Impulsive replaces Path of the Stormcaller.

    Paths are supposed to represent and buff certain playstyles, without being chance based if possible. Stormcaller was too much just ‘random buffs’. The perks in this path are better suited for other game systems. This new version better aligns with the playstyle the path was intended for. Apologies if you liked this path

Updates

  • (Bastion Path): Perk 3 replaced, passive applies while in ranged and melee, Damage reduction now correctly applies to shields and resolve too (whoops), other stats adjusted

  • (Skirmisher Path): Perk 3 replaced, passive applies while in ranged and melee

  • (Leadstorm Path): Perks 4 and 5 swapped places

  • (Woodlands) Added more interactable spawn locations to some tiles

Dark Sword: The Light of Ainn - MrDoth
  • Added NewGame+ mode: after completing a run, you can now restart the game with increased difficulty. Keeping all the items and powers you got from the previus run!
  • A new exclusive item can now be obtained at the end of a run.
Fixes:

  • Game settings now persist correctly, even without manually saving. Volume, language, and other preferences will be kept automatically.
  • Minor stability improvements and small scene behavior fixes.

Relentless Expanse - Cowmera Games

Hey everyone, I have an exciting bit of news that will forever change the development of Relentless Expanse, and much more! Today, we are officially announcing the creation of Cowmera Games, our very own indie studio! Alongside this, we are already deep into development with our next game! I won't be giving any more details on that for a while still, but hopefully sometime in Fall of this year I can start teasing it!

To accommodate these changes, you'll notice that the discord server has changed so that it's now focused on Cowmera Games as a whole, rather than just Relentless Expanse. Here's a link to the discord server for those that aren't in it yet:

Lastly, what does this mean for the future of Relentless Expanse? The rate of updates will slow down a bit, however we still plan to support Relentless Expanse until it's out of Early Access, which is quite a ways away! Relentless Expanse is still our main game, and we don't plan to abandon it!

  • Spectator Window: An additional window without UI can be opened with options such as own camera control or following the editor camera, full screen and pausing the display.
  • Text Labels: Can be added via the Deco Tool. Text and design can be customized (font size, color, with icon, ...). Assignment to groups possible.
  • UI: Properties panel per element on map. Values can be set manually (rotation, scale, height). Open/Close Properties Panel with Key (Default ‘B’).
  • UI: Selection of elements on map revised.
  • UI: Selection frames of elements on map become brighter with dark environment.
  • UI: Camera zoom to mouse position.
  • UI: Added possibility to manually enter certain values in Map Settings and Environment Panel (e.g. map size, shadow, wind direction).
  • UI: Selection list in Object Editor added to display all selectable elements at mouse position (open with Ctrl + left click). The selection list is also available in the normal editor.
  • Settings: Extend object limits in beta tab in settings. If active, objects can be scaled very small or very large.
  • Object Editor: The name for imported custom textures is now taken from file name.
  • Random Animated Birds flying on map are now automatically hidden during export and not exported.
  • Several bug fixes and small adjustments.
