Nightmare Frontier - ICG Scream_Wattson
Hey,

Since the Early Access launch of Nightmare Frontier is happening tomorrow, we want to take advantage of the calm before the storm and... First of all, we want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who’s been with us on this journey! It’s only thanks to your dedication and most importantly, the invaluable feedback you’ve shared here on Steam and on our Discord - that we’ve been able to release not one, not two, but three demo patches in such a short time!

𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐍𝐄:
𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒:
Some of you may have noticed a few hotfixes dropping as well! We just didn’t post about them. (prefers to focus on refining the experience for you) ːsteammockingː

We’d also like to remind you that the contest for the deepest expedition in the demo is still running until tomorrow. You can win a key for Nightmare Frontier Early Access, as well as keys to our previous titles - so don’t miss out and join in before it’s too late! ⤵️
We already have a few serious contenders for the win! 😎
On this day, we also want to thank all the influencers who have already published content related to our game, as well as those who’ve been holding off until the Early Access launch! Good news, dear stars! 🌟 Just before launch, we managed to kick off a campaign on Keymailer, where you can now request keys for Nightmare Frontier... ⤵️

Size doesn't matter! It’s the heart that counts... 🤭

Since we plan for Nightmare Frontier to be a "true" Early Access title = developed side by side with you, our community - we know the real wild ride is only just beginning... But thanks to your support, we believe we can make it happen! 🙏 There’s still a lot that needs improvement and we’re well aware of that. Localization, for example, still needs work (BTW. you can leave feedback here or on Discord 😅), but with a community like this, nothing is impossible!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3310950/Nightmare_Frontier/ Thank you again for your patience and for being here with us, see you tomorrow at launch hour! ⏰📯

💸💸💸 PS: Launch price: $19.99 with a 25% launch discount! 💸💸💸

ADRIFT - George

Happy weekend!

Following on from some feedback on the demo, I've fixed some bugs that included crashes after the early ferry cutscene that was afflicting certain players.

If you haven't already played the demo recently, the latest version introduced a lot of quality of life improvements. A new checkpoint after the ferry section, some adjustments to the onboarding experience, smoothed out interacting/dropping/swapping cargo and more. Alongside that, a lot of smaller changes were made under the bonnet that I won't list here (just know that they cleaned up a lot of messy corners).

The demo timer that was added can also be used to enter a competition to win full game keys when the game comes out later this year! All you have to do is share a screenshot of your time either here or on BlueSky and we'll select some random winners at the end of Next Fest.

The current time to beat is just over 12 minutes - I'm looking forward to seeing how you fare!

See you in the dunes,

git gud - SkyTech6

A few people have requested Command Prompt / PowerShell / Linux commands for things like creating files, listing files, editing files, etc. So I've started to add em!

As well I've begun refactoring a lot of the commands in the game to not just include the solutions I've thought of for the challenges, but to have complete parity to the commands in Git. In this version of the demo you'll notice a lot more commands and flags exist now (rev list, merge base, clean, bisect, cherry pick, and more) as well additional flags on a lot of the basic commands you had already.

My hope is that soon after release I can make a "sandbox" environment. With it players will be able to build repositories and use them for their own custom challenges that will be used with Steam Workshop. The first step to that though will be full parity with Git & a range of validators for you all to use.

And once again, I just want to say thank you to everyone who has played, wishlist, or provided feedback on the game. I appreciate you all taking time to try it! I hope everyone enjoys the full game when it comes out on the 17th.
