This update is includes a fix for some memory leak issues. Other than that, this update mainly just involves internal engine changes. This should translate to a smoother and more stable experience for players.

Casino Resort Tower - CyperkSoftware
  • Resolved an issue where workers and customers heading to the casino hotel via transportation were not being saved properly.

  • Fixed a bug where elevator and escalator icons wouldn’t change to the switchboard icon when connected.

  • Corrected an issue where cars sent to recycling lost their ownership, but the car's owner variable still referenced the recycled human object.

  • Fixed a text rendering glitch in the utility info panel when consumption values exceeded two digits.

  • Jukeboxes no longer play music animations when the room is closed.

  • Fixed a bug where delivery persons would lose their boxes and fetch them again after save/load, if the delivery truck was still at the stop.

  • Corrected an issue where increasing contractor numbers didn’t actually increase the number of builders on the map until the next system check.

  • Fixed a bug where, if a save was made while a delivery truck was en route (but hadn’t arrived), the truck would endlessly loop and delivery persons wouldn’t exit.

  • Resolved a logic error that caused receptionists to work on incorrect items when assigned to a room.

  • Fixed a bug where customers would get stuck trying to use both a bed and a wardrobe simultaneously.

  • In the Casino Games menu, switching between games now correctly updates the overlay without needing to select a game.

  • Fixed an issue where car towers would not arrive and would instead despawn cars immediately after being called.

  • Items with user slots can now be properly activated and deactivated.

  • Customers now prioritize items with an active provider and recheck for one while waiting in line.

  • Fixed a bug where housekeepers would remain in the “getting a dirty sheet” state if no laundry detergent was available in storage.

  • Hair conditioner demand now correctly displays in the inventory window.

  • Improved the performance of the room service hours system and achievement checks by removing reliance on outdated room-type-based service design.

  • Added missing room service hour checks to several AI modules.

  • Resolved an issue where, after a large room was split in two, the right-side room remained open.

  • Fixed a bug where some employees would continue working even after the room had been closed.

  • Removed unnecessary connector lines from switchboard icons, which were causing memory issues in late-game saves.

  • Fixed a bug where the garage vehicle name input field conflicted with the room name input in the room menu.

  • Purchased garage vehicles now properly exit the recycle pool and don’t reset when the “for sale” pool is renewed.

  • Fixed an issue where worker truck owners were not saved properly.

  • Cars no longer park in the same spot after loading a save.

  • Fixed syncing issues in the Private Vehicle menu when a car was abandoned.

  • Fixed a bug where the subway wouldn’t arrive at the casino hotel after being dispatched from the city.

  • Resolved a stack overflow caused by tow trucks after completing a tow.

  • Fixed an issue where subway wagons didn’t spawn with the locomotive.

  • Resolved an issue where bus sprites would stack on top of each other.

  • Fixed a bug where departing passengers would add themselves to the passenger list before arriving at the station, causing them to wait for the next vehicle — even if it was more than 2 hours later.

  • Resolved an issue where completed hours for transportation vehicles were not being saved correctly, causing them to arrive twice in the same scheduled hour after loading a save.

Hello everyone! A month has passed since the demo was released, and during this time, we’ve received tons of feedback and suggestions from enthusiastic players on the Steam Community, social media comment sections, and chat groups. We’re truly thrilled by how much everyone loves the five heroines of Alters!

This is FutureInvention Studio’s first game, and with our lack of experience, there are still many rough edges. We’re fully aware that the current gameplay experience isn’t yet enjoyable enough to make you want to play and recommend it. Rest assured, the studio will keep working humbly to develop and polish the game, striving to deliver higher-quality, richer content in the future.

#The Boss Coming in Chapter 2

We currently plan to participate in October’s Steam Next Fest, and before that, we’ll release Demo 2.0 with the following updates: the main story of Chapter 2, more daily side quests and character-specific side stories, optimized combat levels and stats, updated UI and features, and improved graphics and audio quality... - New Class, Fighter! His special attack reduces enemy armor by a percentage and can stack.

Fixed an issue causing players to jump from Rank 16 to 25 unexpectedly.

Gameplay Changes

  • Moose Tank: Now limited to 10 shots

  • Radioactive Bear: Can no longer destroy destructible objects.

  • Construction Kill Removed

  • Airdrops: Increased to 16 total airdrops across all maps.

  • Soldier Voices: Reduced frequency and spam to minimize audio clutter.

  • Easy Anti-Cheat: Initial implementation for increased security.

Grinder Bug: Fixed a Bug that allowed players to start breach and walk away while holding down breach button to complete a breach.

DDS is on track to release in 1.0 this September!

New Stuff

  • Added a new ending to the main story. Yes, by popular demand, it's real.

  • Added a (not so) bad ending that you can get for screwing up big time.

  • Added some new settings to the options menu. You can now select resolution from a proper dropdown menu along with target framerate. Note that your target framerate will not affect things if you have vsync on.

Bug Fixes

  • Mozzarella the rat not longer has a space at the end of their name (this is a hyper obscure bug please ignore the patch notes)

  • The song in the first angel mission now loops properly.

  • Fixed a softlock issue that occur if you quit out of the game during a final ending sequence, preventing you from seeing the end credits.

  • Fixed a major issue causing the game to look choppy when running at 60fps. This was due to a physics setting I was unaware of and me only playing DDS on my 500FPS Nachos Locos Baja Gaming Monitor. Game should feel slightly smoother if you're running at 60fps.

  • Passing a negative index to a skill command via the command line no longer bricks your terminal.

  • Befriending Autohackers no longer bricks your terminal.

  • Fixed an issue with the options menu causing duplicate resolutions to appear.

  • Heart bomb now has auto complete for trigger and disarm commands

  • The damage effect for horses and cars is no longer flipped the wrong way in certain cases.

  • Extended the perk description box so that more complicated perks aren't cut off.

  • Melee particles no longer trigger on the mount / vehicle you are riding despite dealing no damage.

  • Fixed several problems with blimps. Blimps dying while piloting and snapped should no longer lock your camera in place.

  • Blimp shields now rotate to face your aim direction if you are piloting them.

  • Blimps no longer immediately hit themselves when firing a beam weapon.

  • Fun fact, blimps have infinite ammo and don't need to reload. The reload animation was technically there and it looked super bad, so I just made it so reloading on a blimp does nothing.

  • Fixed a bug that bricked your kick with no valid targets using the Racoon martial art perk

  • Fixed several typos (Sisyphus rock music intensifies)
