This update was made with the help of a professional sound designer, Feathers. It’s an update that’s not fully complete yet, as some sounds are still missing and we need player feedback to improve the new FX.
This means that some of the old FX are still present, and the new ones will evolve over the coming weeks.

I'm very happy to present this update to you, it’s the result of nearly two months of work, believe it or not!

New sounds include :

  • Mage tower construction

  • Mine construction

  • Sawmill construction

  • Mana harvesting

  • Plank harvesting

  • Cut stone harvesting

  • Tree sapling planting

Additionally, most of the game's sounds have been redone. Some are still missing, but as mentioned earlier, we need your feedback to improve the sounds and fine-tune the artistic direction to avoid having to redo everything, which would take a huge amount of time.

New Features

Core Mechanic

Reworked the primary core mechanic. Your core has to be picked back up once shot. Positioning, where you shoot, and what you shoot is essential.

Augment System
A brand new augment system. Augments are now categorized into three unlockable pools.

Each run begins with a patching phase. Players select from a set of augments based on their unlocked pools. Patches occur at certain score milestones and become sparser as your score racks up.

New Augments (20+ added)
Over 20 new augments have been implemented. Examples include:

  • Ping, Fetch, Recall, Splash, and Blink. The powers these augment grant range from buffs to entirely new mechanics.

  • Each augment introduces new interaction potential, counters, and helps you get higher scores.

Leaderboard System

  • Brand new global leaderboard system integrated with Steam. Compete with others and try to improve your ranking.

Combat and Enemy Changes

Full Enemy Rebalance
All enemy types have been adjusted to match the new augment system and pacing. Changes affect spawn rate, spawn distance, AI behavior, and projectile behavior.

Enemy Types

  • Rollers, Rushers, Screens, and others have been added or reworked

  • Unique movement logic and interactions per type

  • Spawn pacing governed by an updated enemy spawning system that scales with difficulty.

  • Balance pass across all augment values, cooldowns, and enemies

System Overhauls

Performance Mode
Players can disable post-processing, particles, and other visual effects for smoother performance on lower-end systems or during recording/streaming.

UI and UX Revisions

  • Main menu visuals and transitions improved

  • Sound and click feedback added across UI

  • Settings menu toggles now persist correctly

Quality of Life
  • Restart logic now behaves correctly across all states

  • Pause menu with ability to abandon mid-run

  • Discord Rich Presence updated to display score and patching status
