The team and I are looking into removing real time play in casual matchmaking.

Shifting Casual mode to an Asychrounus format with no timers and no queue times. Players builds and round data will be saved to a database allowing for battles to be against other player's builds every match.

This feature will help players enjoy the game when matchmaking is slow, due to a growing player base.

We are also looking into a tips and tricks system that will guide players around the basic mechanics of the game to improve players first match experience. helping assisting them through the management phase.

We will make a new announcement soon regarding a time frame for these features to be implemented!

Our UI is needs adjustment for resolutions below 1920x1080 and are working on this now to improve the experience for players on smaller resolutions.

Thank you to all the players who are active and leaving feedback to improve our game. FaeTerra will only improve from here, and I am excited to see what it will become!

Cataclysm Wars' released was marked by great enthusiasm by its players, more than we expected! What came up often is simply the wish for more, that people enjoyed the game but wanted more content of all type.

Well we are glad to announce that we already have that on the way for everyone, for free!

The first and biggest news is the introduction of...

A new game mode where you must buy and manage units as you have to defend your position against overwhelming odds. Survive in four different maps, as both the Imperials and Syrinx.

Pictured here, an Imperial basecamp where you will have to acquire your units for the battle ahead.

Alongside it, we are adding self-contained story missions that shows other parts of the war and Cataclysm Wars' world. We are planning two of them for now, but may add more in due time.

The first of those is one where you play as the Imperial Guard, the most elite of human formations going on the offensive against the owls. Take control of new heavy units and smash the Royal lines apart!



And that's still not all! We're adding more units to both side of the conflicts that you will get to use in the story scenarios as well as defense mode. Auxiliary Sappers, Sniper Teams, Handgunners and more will make their debut... alongside more sinister threats that may appear on the field...



Cataclysm Wars is our very first title as Chicken Cabal Games, and we still have quite a bit to learn, which is why we're paying particular attention to what players have to say. In this aspect, we're very interested to hear about people that have not yet bought the game but have wishlisted it, so that we know what their expectations are.

Hi!

I've pushed the beta build to the main branch of MIRO. It fixes some important things and adds the Arachnophobia toggle into the options.
Here's a quick rundown:

- Added Arachnophobia mode, which can be toggled in the main menu settings
- Fixed dialogs while on the hoverbike
- Fixed some missing translation on the research station
- Fixed missing hunt player behavior on predators
- Fixed research station tutorial
