Hello, Truck Mechanics!

It's been a while since we last got in touch, but now we're back with a massive update for Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths, and trust us – it's been worth the wait! We've packed in a ton of new features, interactions, and systems to keep you busy on the perilous roads... Let's dive right in!




New Interactions

We've significantly expanded the range of uses and interactions for your tools. You can now open and repair gates and signs, or even demolish blockades using your trusty machete. You can also pick up new objects such as cash, skill books that grant free skill unlocks, and customization items. Additionally, the bolt cutters are now useful for slicing through certain fences, while the winch can be used to break down terrain obstacles. And that's not all – keep an eye out for paint buckets scattered around in-game locales to alter your truck's color scheme and give it a fresh new look!




New Reputation System

With so many new interactions, we've also revamped the reputation system. To progress through certain missions, you'll now need to attain specific reputation levels. And how do you do that? By completing side quests, cargo deliveries, and smaller tasks that earn you reputation points. It's time to step up and prove your worth!




Skill System

Finally, the long-awaited skill system is here! We've introduced 4 distinct skill categories: Driving, Mechanics, Exploration, and Economy. Each skill can be purchased with the cash you've collected or, as mentioned earlier, by finding special skill books hidden throughout the world. Unlock them to gain a strategic edge and further tailor your playstyle.




Misc Changes

In addition to these major inclusions, we've revised the tutorial system to make it clearer and more informative, ensuring that every newcomer knows the ropes. We've also introduced a guidebook where you can revisit essential mechanics or view gameplay tips at any time. Not to mention, the game now has full controller support, updated UI, and numerous other quality-of-life improvements to make your journey smoother than ever before.

DREADTOME - MrWoodenSheep

DREADTOME 1.1 has just released, bringing with it Steam achievements, a bunch of bug fixes, and general improvements.

List of major changes:
  • Steam achievements - Can you get them all?

  • Difficulty Select - Do you dare try DREAD mode?

  • Rat Mode - Get to know your favourite protagonist, Dread Guy, much better in Rat Mode!

  • Keybinding - Keybindings should be much less fussy now.

  • Settings - We fixed many bugs regarding the settings menu.

  • Ending - We made a few changes to wrap-up your adventure in a more satisfying manner.

  • Enemies - The archives' monsters now behave more life-like, turning to look at you as they hunt you down, and pursuing you more consistently where you think you may be safe.

  • Intro Skip - For speedrunners or subsequent playthroughers, you can now skip the intro by holding E!

  • Environment Art - A lot has been added to the archives, making it all feel more uneasy to explore.

As our student project wraps up, this will be our final major update. Please don't expect any new content additions. If any bugs pop up, we'll try our best to patch them up.

We’re planning to release an update tonight to fix and improve the following issues:

Features
  • Added \[Spirit View Mode]: Easily assess the Spirit level of all residences through color-coding.

  • Layered Statistics UI now supports multiple view modes:

    • \[Resource Stats]: Views material quantities per floor.

    • \[Towertizen Stats]: Displays population/jobs/available workers/homeless count per floor.

    • \[Food Supply]: Monitor food reserves and manually set consumables per floor (custom menus).

    • \[Tower Buffs]: Views buff effects on each tower section.

  • Homeless Towertizens can now work and will retain their job status when moving into housing.

Changes
  • Default construction priority changed to Medium.

  • Added camera rotation with Q/E keys.

  • Shift+Click now enables copy-placement of buildings under construction.

Bugfixes
  • Fixed abnormal material returns when demolishing Brick Houses.

  • Fixed Brick Houses not downgrading when residents' basic needs fell below the threshold.

  • Corrected stability miscalculations for floating structures causing purple tint in Stability Mode.

UI
  • Added an "Open Save Folder" button to save/load screen.

  • Removed framerate options from resolution settings (resolution-only now).

  • Standardized red warning text colors across all UI.

  • Optimized item ordering in key remapping panel.

Nin Online - Ueda

An emergency maintenance was held at 5:00 EST on 23rd June 2025 where the following bug fixes were pushed.

  • Fixed a server error caused by NPC jutsu casting.

  • Reduced timeout time for server login requests that seem to fail occasionally.

  • Fixed an error to do with buggy ignored players lists.

Important Notice

DDoS Protection on the server was turned on to prevent a certain kind of DDoS attack. This attack pattern has been noticed by us throughout the years coming unknowingly from people using ExitLag's software. ExitLag does not improve your connection to the server any more than a normal VPN. We have found in our own investigation that it employs a cheap tactic of creating multiple TCP connections to game servers to trick the server into sending back Ping packets faster, giving the illusion of better ping.

When an individual does it, it creates about 5 TCP connections from what we've noticed. But at high peak hours we've noticed up to thousands of them. This could be that the software increases the amount of TCP connections when latency is higher to try to get even more ping packets faster.

BUG Fixes
  1. Fixed an issue where some players couldn't enter the main interface and encountered a fatal error (PipelineStateCache.cpp Line: 437) when using the default DX12 startup option.

  2. Fixed a problem with disordered shelf contents. After loading a save file, readjusting the shelf positions and their goods will resolve this issue.

  3. Fixed a fatal error that occurred in multiplayer online mode. - Fixed an issue where selling a card vending machine allowed selling cards from the card album.

  4. Fixed an issue where when a shelf was sold out, the product labels on the shelf would be cleared the next day.

  5. Fixed an error in the selling price of furniture rewards from the gym.

  6. Fixed an issue allowing repeated sales of trash cans.

  7. Fixed an issue where when other players quit the game in online mode, the wallpaper of their shops wasn't properly removed.

  8. Fixed an issue where an empty shelf might disappear after saving and loading a save file.

  9. Fixed an issue where employees related to restocking shelves couldn't restock correctly.

  10. Fixed a UI issue allowing repeated sales of furniture.

Optimizations
  1. Added an option to sort the card album by element emblems

  2. The card album now saves the last viewed page

  3. Cats will now occasionally appear in scenes

  4. Added a sharing activity and rewards
