Depixtion - DevHourGames
The Depixtion: Halloween DLC is now fully available!

While the Halloween DLC did officially launch on October 31st, those who owned the Standalone Version of Depixtion: Halloween did not receive their free copies of Depixtion & the Halloween DLC in their library. This unfortunate issue was due to a miscommunication from Steam Support that took several days to correct.

Steam Support has finally resolved the issue, so those of you who owned the Standalone Version of Depixtion: Halloween should now have both Depixtion & the Halloween DLC in their library.

The Standalone version of Depixtion: Halloween will no longer be available for purchase on Steam, and will not receive any future updates, however we will keep the depots live.

We thank everyone for hanging in there while we worked through this transition. While it was a bit painful, this change will allow us to produce more content packs at a much quicker rate with far less work overhead. We think you'll all enjoy these changes in the long run

Puzzle Logic Fixes
Depixtion prides itself in having puzzles that can be solved using no guesswork, however we recently uncovered that a few puzzles have slipped through the cracks. Using feedback provided by the community, we identified 14+ puzzles that could not be solved using conventional Nonogram logic. We have fixed these issues, and will be including the updated puzzles in the upcoming update.

Various Bug Fixes
There's quite a lot of bugs we squashed in this update, including the pesky issue where solved hints would not be gray when loading into a puzzle. Hopefully we've got them all, but please let us know if we missed any!

That’s it for this announcement, but stay tuned for more “spooktacular” details on the upcoming Depixtion: Halloween DLC!
Depixtion - DevHourGames
We received a lot of questions and feedback in regards to the announcement of the standalone version of Depixtion: Halloween retiring, so we decided to put together a basic FAQ on how the transition from standalone game to DLC will work:

Q: First off, what exactly is going on?
A: We have decided to retire Depixtion: Halloween as a standalone game, and will be re-releasing it as DLC for the base version of Depixtion. This decision was not made lightly, and was chosen in order make it easier to handle distributing Depixtion and it's expansions across multiple platforms.

Q: What is the last day Depixtion: Halloween will be available for purchase as a standalone game?
A: We will be officially retiring the standalone version of Depixtion: Halloween a week after the Steam Summer Sale on July 13th, 2020

Q: When will the DLC version of Depixtion: Halloween be available?
A: If all goes according to plan, the DLC version of Depixtion: Halloween will be available on October 1st, 2020.

Q: Is there going to be a "Retirement Sale"?
A: Yes! Both Depixtion & Depixtion: Halloween will be on sale for 80% off during the Steam Summer Sale.

Q: Will you continue to update the standalone version of Depixtion: Halloween?
A: Unfortunately, we will no longer be updating the standalone version of Depixtion: Halloween. In order to receive the most up-to-date version, you will need to migrate over to the base version of Depixtion.

Q: What does this mean for those of us who purchased Depixtion: Halloween? Will we have to purchase Depixtion & the Halloween DLC?
A: Nope! We will be giving everyone who has Depixtion: Halloween in their Steam library a free copy of both Depixtion, & the Halloween DLC once we retire the standalone version of Depixtion: Halloween. This will happen automatically, and requires no additional work on your end.

Q: What about my progress/achievements? Will they carry over to the DLC?
A: Yes! We will be migrating all of your current progress & achievements in the standalone version of Depixtion: Halloween over to the DLC release

Q: Does this mean that there will be more DLC releases for Depixtion?
A: Well, we wouldn't be putting all of you through this if we didn't have have plans for more DLC for Depixtion!

We thank you for your patience during this transition, and hope you're all excited!

Depixtion - DevHourGames
Greetings Everyone!

First off – we hope everyone is safe and secure. The world just performed a double backflip over the last few months, and we’re all in the process of sorting things out. It’s not every week the world shuts down for a global pandemic… But history shows us communities grow stronger through adversity, and now is no different.

So, with the Coronavirus forcing everyone and their grandparents (PLEASE STAY INSIDE) into lockdown, we thought a little “Stay at Home” sale could help lift the quarantine blues. For the next 14 days you can pick up Depixtion or Depixtion Halloween for 25% off or pick up the fantastic bundle at a deep discount as well! Our mentality – “Don’t sweat the global pandemic, chillax with some colorful Picross instead.”

Stay safe everyone. And remember, we’re all in this together.

Best,
DevHour Games Team

Depixtion - DevHourGames
Hello Everyone!

Version 1.4 of Depixtion is now live! If you guys thought v1.3 was a dramatic update, then you're in for a treat! It looks like a whole new game...Again!

New & Important Features

UI
We have performed a MASSIVE overhaul to every single aspect of the UI. There is not a single section that we did not go in and tinker with/dramatically remake. Just take a look at the comparison below!

Stats Panel
Ever been curious of just how many stars you earned? Or how long it took you to complete all of those super hard 24x24's? Well, wonder no more, as we have incorporated a Stats Panel into Depixtion! You can find the Stats Panel next to the Options panel in the Main Menu.

Drag-Lock Preview
When using Drag-Lock, there is now a preview of the blocks you plan on laying down. This greatly helps visualize your next moves

TextMeshPro
We'll admit, we dropped the ball on this one. In a game with so much text, it was silly for us to not use TextMeshPro. But we have learned from our mistakes, and went through the slightly-painful process of incorporating it into Depixtion. TextMeshPro allows for MUCH crisper text displayed a higher fidelity. Your eyes will thank us.

New Icons
We've got new Icons and Steam Library images to go along with the new UI! Spiffy, huh?

Bug Fixes & Minor Changes
- Assorted Optimization Improvements
- Tutorial Pop-up is now more noticeable
- When Drag-Lock is disabled, Drag-Counter option now becomes grayed out
- Fixed SFX inconsistencies
- Fixed Control inconsistencies between when drag lock is enabled/disabled
- Fixed Bug in which the Credits Panel would break on certain resolutions
- Fixed Bug in which the Music Volume slider would break after minimizing the game
- Fixed Bug in which the Music Volume slider would break when set to 0
- Fixed Bug in which the Music would restart when game was minimized
- Fixed Bug in which the Puzzle Select screen would progress through 2 Puzzles instead of 1
- Fixed Bug in which the Drag-Lock feature caused the incorrect colors to appear on a layer

We hope you all enjoy the new updates to Depixtion!
Happy Griddling!

Depixtion - DevHourGames
Hello Everyone!

As some of you may have noticed, we have released version 1.3 of Depixtion! This update has been over 2 months in the making, and contains a lot of features and changes that were requested from the community. Here's a rundown of everything that's new and improved!

New Features & Changes

New Controls
The Control Scheme for Depixtion has gotten a major overhaul! There are now 2 available control schemes for each controller type: Default & Legacy. You can switch between the control schemes in the Options menu.

Mouse
Default
Left Click - Colors the Square with the Selected Color
Mouse Wheel - Selects Color (Light or Dark)
Right Click - X/Clear

Legacy
Single Left Click - Light Color
Double Left Click - Dark Color
Right Click - X/Clear

Gamepad
Default
Light & Dark are each assigned their own button

Legacy
Light & Dark are assigned to the same button. You must press the button twice to place a Dark Color

Keyboard
Default
Light & Dark are each assigned their own key

Legacy
Light & Dark are assigned to the same key. You must press the key twice to place a Dark Color

Advanced Tutorial
Stuck scratching your head while trying to solve some of the harder 24x24 puzzles? Then consult our new Advanced Tutorial for some Picross tips and tricks! The Advanced Tutorial can be accessed through the Options menu in both the Main Menu and during gameplay.

Drag Lock
Drag Lock is finally here! When enabled, your cursor will no long stray into neighboring squares when filling in larger hints. Drag Lock can be Enabled/Disabled in the Options menu.

Drag Lock Counting
Tired of trying to count out 20+ squares in groups of 4? We feel you. That's why we added a Counting system! When utilizing the new "Drag Lock" feature, filling in more than a single square at a time will bring up a counter that shows how many squares you will be filling in

New Achievements
We've added 7 new Achievements to Depixtion! We did this to match the number of Achievements in the upcoming Depixtion: Halloween. Go check them out!

New Music
The great Bonisdead has provided us with 2 new tracks for Depixtion!
There are now 2 alternating tracks for puzzle mode, and a track that plays whenever you've completed a puzzle.

New & Improved Gameplay UI
The Gameplay UI has been completely overhauled. It now sits on the bottom of the screen opposed to the top, and is dependent on what control scheme you are currently using. Whether it be Gamepad, Keyboard, Mouse, Default, or Legacy, your controls will now be visible at all times at the bottom of the screen.

Undo/Redo
The Undo/Redo system now tracks on a "Per Move" basis, opposed to being tracked on a "Per Square" basis. For example, if you color in 4 spaces in a single move, it will undo all 4 spaces, instead of the last one colored in.

First Time Player Popup
New players to Depixtion will be greeted with a pop-up asking if they would like to start with the tutorial. This should make it much easier for new players to get their bearings.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed Timer pop-in
  • Removed ability to switch to a completed puzzle
  • Fixed Invisible Pause panel issue
  • Puzzles no longer save if only filled with X's or Blanks
  • Fixed spelling & Grammar Issues
  • Fixed issue were hints would not be grayed out on load
  • MANY MANY more minor bugs have been squashed

Thank you all so much for your feedback! We hope you all enjoy version 1.3!
