Myst: Masterpiece Edition - vicki
Thank you for your patience while we were getting this update for Myst: Masterpiece Edition ready for Steam! Thanks too for your support of our games.

We have been working to ready all of the games in the Myst series for the 25th Anniversary of Myst, which happens later this month. Most of the games in the series required compatibility updates, but Myst and Riven needed more than that to run reliably on modern day computers. We partnered up with the ScummVM team and have worked closely with them to bring you this updated version of Myst. Since the game is powered by ScummVM, the user interface looks different than the original release, but has most of the same functionality.

Should you have something you would like to report regarding Myst: Masterpiece Edition, please contact us directly at support@cyan.com. We would be happy to assist you.

We hope you enjoy playing Myst again :)

Thank you!
The Cyan Worlds Team

Release Notes:

Myst: Masterpiece Edition is now available in 5 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, and Polish. Select the language option of your choice from the menu that appears when you launch the game.

Windows 10 compatibility update

Random crashing fixed!

Known Issues:

The graphics have not been remastered, so there will be a variance in the quality of the appearance of the graphics depending on the size of the display being used. The game starts out in full-screen and can be put into a scalable window by using the Alt+Enter command. Being able to adjust the scaling of the window will help to improve the clarity of the graphics.

Opening sequence book/cursor layering issue: The cursor never appears on top of closed Myst book, nor does it appear when it is open and the fly-by is playing. If you click during the fly-by (no cursor present) you do link to the dock. If you wait for the fly-by to quit playing, the cursor will appear on top of the Myst book and can be used. This behavior is the same as was in the released box edition of the game.

Under some conditions, the user cannot close the map screen with the Esc key. In this case, you will need to click on the map screen itself in order to close it.
