Welcome to our new developers update for Men of War: Assault Squad 2.

We have been working hard on the next update since our last developers update and it's time for some news.


Each individual soldier collects XP and levels up during combat. Vehicles do not gain XP but the crew inside does. The more advanced your soldiers are, the better they get at handling weapons and vehicles. They will also get stronger and more resilient to enemy fire. Taking care of your soldiers and saving your tank crew is more important than ever before.


Your soldiers have different vehicle skills now. Tank crew are experts at driving and shooting tanks, while ground troops are better at handling artillery. It's now a key to success to use the right type of infantry instead of the cheapest. But don't worry, your crew efficiency is being displayed in the interface, so you will learn quickly which infantry is the best one to pick.

We have been reworking the Stamina system to reflect veterancy of units and differ elite infantry from regular infantry even more. You can now see how fast your Stamina regenerates and how much Stamina each soldier has, the same goes for Health.


We introduced a new multiplayer selection. The host can now pick between different groups of units and design his own multiplayer mode by including or excluding certain type of units. Together with a great amount of MP and CP options, there is a huge amount of varation to choose from. You may also alter the charge timers of all units to finetune your own gamemode even more.


Replays will be part of our next DLC, however you will get access to spectators as a free feature in the next update. Hosts can determine whether they want spectators or not. Spectators do not influence the resource distribution or other balance mechanics.

A new event log that helps you to keep track of what's going on has been introduced. If you missed out on an event, don't worry you can open the event history log and read up all events. Also, you will get notified of important events during the game, like whether your team is winning or losing.

We also introduced in-game video tutorials. You will be able to select a variety of videos that show you the best tips and tricks. Special thanks to strat29 for voicing these.


Ammo trucks and ammo boxes will now auto supply your units if they are close enough and turn into new strategic objectives. They will however only refill basic ammunition. You will still have to scavenge the battlefield to collect grenades, dynamite and other useful tools. None the less, you will easily re-arm dozens of riflemen and machine gunners in one go. Especially if an officer is amongst your troops, who can call in ammo para drops.



The beta patch is available now. You can select it in your Steam game properties. ːhonorː
