This update is simply to address some issues reported by people like you since the last update :)
I've also pushed out hotfixes for more pressing issues since the update. You can see the full list below.

Changes:
Fixed switching creative menu tabs not stopping typing in search, causing all character keys to stop functioning.
Fixed tooltips sometimes not showing when using controller cursor mode.
Fixed Miners Prosthetic being able to mine further away when using smart mining.
Fixed raids counting enchantments for best equipment value resulting in spawning raiders with weapons and armor above the intended tier.
Fixed wild beehive and cow skeleton not showing in creative menu list.
Fixed using recall, travel scrolls or other teleportation while dragging and item causing the item to be dropped.
Fixed chat cutting off messages when the log becomes too long.
Fixed cheat chat commands not requiring a second usage to activate in creative mode.
Clarified warnings about joining creative mode characters to survival worlds etc.
Updated community translations (thank you translators!).

Earlier hotfixes:
Fixed controller focus snapping back to buffs when closing the inventory.
Fixed controller form focus tooltips being show even when there is no focus.
Fixed smart mining sometimes not selecting the correct tile.
Fixed eraser showing interact box when using controller.
Fixed Steam Deck drawing cursor even when you're not using it.
Pressing tab in preset submission will now go to the next field.
Fixed water and lava buckets sometimes not being consumed correctly when placing it.
Fixed possible crash in multiplayer when checking for player godmode.
Fixed mining speed modifiers not working correctly with the new mining system.
Fixed a couple of other rare possible crashes.

You can of course always choose an older version by right clicking Necesse in Steam -> Properties -> Betas.

Greetings, children of the night

Do you smell that? A fresh waft of bug rot, seared and banished from my precious blood-soaked empire. I commanded a swift purge, and my minions terrified and caffeinated have delivered. Here lies your latest hotfix, straight from the crypt.

🔧 Fixed:
  • Foolish mortals were duplicating locked furniture like they were breeding rats in the walls—no more! Their tricks are now as dead as their ambitions.

  • The automatic buy feature will no longer attempt to shop at the closed blood mart. Even algorithms need a sense of business hours.

  • Missions that demanded abstinence from the store (how quaint) were previously throwing tantrums. They now work properly. Chastity rewarded, apparently.

  • Automatic buy and sell settings are now properly saved. You’re welcome, forgetful ones.

  • Minions no longer beg for a $0 bonus. What are we, a charity? Back to the pits with them.

  • The 9th and 10th stages of "Expanded Workforce" now function correctly. No more hiring phantom employees from beyond the grave... unless you're into that. 👻

The Temtem: Swarm free demo is back online, and available for everyone who wants to give our chaotic bullet-heaven a try without paying in advance!

Patch 0.7.1 just launched, and between the many cool, community-suggested changes we introduced we also have brought back our free demo! We want everyone to have the chance to give Swarm a try, and we also want to welcome new players into our world! To that end, we've created a demo that will give everyone a good taste of what Swarm really is. If you enjoy our demo, please consider checking out the full game too!

In your Temtem: Swarm demo adventure you'll start with the lovely Platypet and Smazee by your side, our beloved starters! As you play and unlock Spots, you'll get the chance to hatch Oree and play with it as well! And later down the road you'll have a chance to meet Innki, a fan-favorite of all, but if you want to play it please dive into the full game! These Tems are very different from each other, so we hope you explore them all and experience their many different playstyles.

As for where you'll be playing, welcome to the Cipanku Arena! Enjoy the neon-drenched island where ancient pagodas and rickety wooden bridges clash with high-tech labs and digital chaos. A dearly beloved arena in the OG Temtem game, now at your reach in our Demo!

Any and all progress you make in the demo will transfer to the full game if you decide to step in! And the best part is that nothing is required from you, it will just automatically happen! We wanted to ensure the transition was as subtle and easy as possible.

Another fantastic thing: you'll be playing with Tamers from the full game and the demo alike, so you can join any friends that were playing, and meet new players you synergize with. Just keep in mind that, in order to be able to play Co-op with them, they need to meet you where you are, on the Cipanku Arena and without any Hacking Level. Hacking Modes, which are advanced and challenging ways to play, need to be unlocked in the full game. But if you've liked the demo I'm sure you'll get there in no time!

Sprocket - Mushy
Hi all,

This patch fully reworks the editor hitbox system, used to detect part selection and obstruction.
Fixes the fundamental bugs and poor performance of the previous system, and cleans things up on my end.

This update is for the experimental branch, you'll need to opt-in to play it:


Changes
  • Driveshafts connecting to engines and transmissions can no-longer connect at angles greater than 5 degrees.
  • Cannons now snap to mantlets.
  • Turret rings can now be selected by selecting the connected turret basket.
  • Turret rings can now have basket segments lowered to 0 to make basketless turrets.
  • Driveshaft obstruction hitboxes are now the full length of the shaft, instead of slightly shorter.
  • Pressing the move hotkey (G) with a crew member selected but no posture node selected will now move the whole crewmember, instead of doing nothing.
  • Obstruction messages now use correctly formatted part names.
  • Trunnions are now referred to as "Cannon rotation area" in error messages.
  • Powertrain selection names are now correctly formatted.
Fixes
  • Fixed not being able to select more than one driveshaft junction at a time.
  • The cannon breech obstruction area now perfectly matches its visualization.
  • Fixed armour obstruction hitboxes not perfectly matching their visuals in certain configurations.
  • Fixed inconsistent part obstructions across maps.
  • Removed the hull face inside the turret ring for several enemy designs.
  • Cannon breech obstruction areas are now correct when the breech is in front of the trunnions.
  • Barrel fuel tanks now have damage models.
Optimizations
  • Significantly optimized plate structure edits.
  • Optimized the hitbox of the cannon breech obstruction area with high elevation and azimuth limits.
  • Plate structure edits are now multithreaded.
  • Significantly optimized moving of parts with other parts attached e.g. turrets.
Continuing on with refining 0.2, next update will work on the 0.2 crew system, with the following goals:
  • Improve UI for crew role switching
  • Allow crew members to move to higher-priority roles if the current role-holder is knocked out.
  • Limit the distance crew members can be from their roles.
  • Disallow crew members in the turret from performing roles in the hull, and vice versa.
  • Validate crew member posture, so crew members can't be squeezed into unrealistic positions.

  • Event occurrence timing changed from immediately after turn end → immediately before turn start

  • Visit events changed to occur on the next day's visit

  • Random events changed to occur more organically according to the situation

    • Duplicate events may occur

    • Recovery events will not occur if there are no injured units

    • Special adventurers who have already become companions will not visit again, while others may revisit

  • Random events changed to occur randomly rather than being fixed by seed

  • NPCs and artifacts that provide random event information have been disabled.

  • Fixed missing clouds in the night sky
