  • Fixed a bug where the Hunter's movement speed and jump power were lower than other characters.

Bug

  • Fixed a bug where the Ember of Transcendence ability stat “Vulnerability on Hit” was not activating.

  • Fixed a bug where enhanced artifacts from the Successor's Camp were not visible in the Artifact pop-up.

  • Fixed a bug where the Azure Flame Candle's burn duration increase (seconds) was displayed as a percentage.

  • Fixed a bug where the “All Skill Levels” ability name was displayed as “Damage Reduction” in languages other than Korean in the item options. We have fixed a bug where the world map or difficulty pop-up would no longer open after closing it via an object in the village.

※ Due to changes in the physics system, there are occasional cases where characters fail to detect platforms and fall further down when jumping. This bug will be fixed in the next update.

What Awaits You in the Demo?

You'll be able to experience the vital role of your flying fortress – a mobile base for strategy, upgrades, and resource management, truly the centerpiece of your journey. It's your stronghold for exploration and expansion, equipped with powerful turrets to open new territories and defend against relentless enemies.

We're bringing you three intense levels, each designed to challenge your skills and immerse you in our unique world. (And yes, we're still busy dressing them up to look their absolute best for you!)

Level 1: The Cloudveil Mountains
  • Story: Your journey begins deep in the far mountains, where the first scouts of The Restoration fleet have been deployed. Look out for the colossal facility towers looming in the distance!

  • Art: Expect majestic mountains and rich natural elements.

  • Design: We'll introduce enemies and mechanics in isolation, then ramp up the intensity with exciting combinations.

  • Progression: You'll acquire 0 to 6 random upgrades.

Level 2: The Fallen Factory
  • Story: Your castle finally breaches the factory, the very heart and most valuable point of The Restoration army.

  • Art: Prepare for enclosed spaces, aggressive lighting, and intricate mechanical elements.

  • Design: This level combines all enemies for the ultimate challenge!

  • Progression: Expect to earn 7 to 12 random upgrades.

Level 3: Eye of the Storm
  • Story: You've escaped victorious from the crumbling facility. Now, only one formidable foe remains: The Herald, a rival flying castle sided with The Restoration.

  • Art: Behold the vast expanse of the sky and sea, a stark contrast to the factory's confines, with familiar mountains from Level 1 in the background.

  • Design: This is the ultimate final boss challenge!


Meet Your Adversaries!

You'll encounter a diverse range of foes designed to test your tactical prowess:

  • The Herald: A massive rival floating citadel, often more powerful than your own castle, protected by rotating walls with vulnerable laser gun slots. It's the ultimate boss challenge!

  • Knights: Heavily armed Marauder variants, protected by strong frontal shields that deactivate when they lock onto a target, signaling your window to strike!

  • Marauders: Light cruisers that deploy swarms of Wasps. They keep their distance, relying on their gliders to harass and overwhelm.

  • Proximity Mines: Hidden within the surface, these mines go airborne upon detecting your castle, slowly approaching to detonate and deal area damage to you and nearby enemies.

  • Wasps: Small, agile, unmanned aerial gliders equipped with collision explosives. These kamikaze attackers aim to overwhelm defenses through sheer numbers and speed.

some may already know, i want to keep things fresh and gradually introduce new content while im stuck in The Backrooms stitching together the main game, and im doing so with 'challenge levels'. they're short but tougher levels that reward a steam achievement upon completion.

now featuring their own dedicated menu screen, the 2nd one will go live soon, a total of 10 are planned. (that thing floating above the screen may or may not wake up and freak out once you finish them all) Challenge Level #2 Story: The demon possessing Hamachis mind (Demon Queen Deity) is in search of the Soul Stone Shards, fragments of an artifact that when combined together, create the Soul Stone Artifact. When this artifact is consumed by a Demon, it grants them INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS (and slightly controversial) POWER. Demon Queen Deity believes this Tomb holds one of the shards, and is speculated to be guarded by another Demon. Unfortunately, deep within the Tomb, they happen to only discover a refreshing can of Yellow Soft Drink, called, "SUPER PSYCHO SODA" (made with real LEMONS), perfect for a hot Summer day. Utilizing this beverage, Hamachi discovers he's equipped himself with a new attack ability, that makes enemies pop, literally. *in other news, this game will receive a temporary discount during the next major steam sale, whenever that may be. if you have interest in purchasing, i would wait until then! also, the website has been updated once again, and has been given a huge makeover, you can now play the demo in your browser!

We just pushed a fresh update to the demo — and it’s a big one, especially for those who like playing with a controller in hand.


🎮 Full Controller Support is Now Live!

You can now play the entire demo using your favorite controller (Xbox, PlayStation, etc.). Wall runs, trap dodging, ledge balancing — all fully mapped and tuned for smooth gamepad control.


⚔️ Gameplay & Enemy Rebalancing

We’ve made several balance adjustments based on your feedback:

  • Smarter enemy pacing and positioning

  • Improved difficulty curve for smoother progression

  • Maze and dungeon areas are still challenging, but more fair and readable

  • Combat encounters feel more rewarding without being overwhelming

Whether you gave up at the maze or just wanted a more polished flow — this one’s for you.

Greetings, players! The newest patch (0.25.12) is now live on all platforms on the experimental branch and modding branch. Please save your progress and restart your game client to update. You should be able to load normally and continue playing. If you have any problems, please let us know.

Bugs and Fixes
  • Fixed several crash occurrences.

  • Fixed the issue that caused Settlers to mine invisible soil voxels.

  • Fixed the issue that prevented some saves from being loaded.

  • Fixed the issue that caused wooden mechanical parts crafting to give smithing instead of carpentry XP.

  • Fixed the issue that made Settlers appear to be carrying weapons while undrafted.

  • Fixed the issue where Raiders would get stuck if you locked the door they were planning to pass through.

  • Fixed the issue where fires on top of walls would continue burning in the air after the wall was destroyed.

  • Fixed the issue that caused temperature damage to persist after a tile with fire on it is destroyed.

  • Fixed the issue where Raiders could not construct ladders on top of player-constructed floors.

  • Fixed the issue that caused the camera to shake while buildings were taking damage.

Known issues:
  • If your settlers are experiencing weird animations with some actions, be sure to turn off V-sync and cap the game's FPS in the game's options. Cap it to 60fps. If the issue persists, cap it at 30.

  • Assigned Pets don't sleep with owners.

  • Some text keys are still not translated.

  • Player-triggered events don't have sound effects

  • Settlers will not refuel torches if there is no floor/ground beneath them.

  • Settlers will not choose the closest production building (if there are more of the same type), but the one that has a production set first in the global list of productions.

DISCLAIMERS:

⚠️ We decided to keep Dev version of the game on the experimental branch, and that means that a Dev log with red text will appear from time to time. This will help us get more info from your side when crashes and bug reports occur.

⚠️ Also, at the moment, the experimental and the main branch are different. You should not play saves from the experimental branch on the main one as it can cause various bugs - please avoid doing this.
