Star Conflict - Super Glix

Jericho has always strived to uphold tradition, but in the end, the faction valued effectiveness above all else, and therefore was never afraid to apply innovation in shipbuilding. The Techs were able to convey this idea to the Sentinels. They were “inspired” (if this word can even be applied to the AI) by several ships at once. Firstly, “Zhen”, which already had simple but effective AI nodes and therefore had the software ready to be utilized by the Sentinels. Secondly, the appearance of the “Geyser” weapon and the Imperial ship “Loki” became a foundation for the exterior design of the new ship, later named “Cinquedea”. And lastly, the Sentinels were able to make use of the technology from “Maller” to create the ship’s energy core. Thus, the ship turned out to be a fusion of some of the latest developments in shipbuilding, and the Sentinels had no difficulty with the computing power needed to optimize the equipment for the new ship.

Despite the fact that the Sentinels did not actively advertise their ship or talked about its capabilities in public, the number of buyers for the “Cinquedea” was high. The UMC plans to soon offer its mercenaries the opportunity to order the ship for themselves.


The “UMC Archives: Storm season” event

All pilots who complete all stages of the “UMC Archives: Storm season” event will be able to assemble the new ship for free! The offer is time-limited and will be available until September 18.

Pilots, the “UMC Archives: Storm season” event will be held in one stage with 30 levels. Only the owners of a special Pass will be able to unlock all levels, but the first and every fifth level will be available to all pilots.

To get the reward, you need to unlock the desired level. In order to gain access to the next reward, you need to complete all the previous levels. You can join a stage at any time when the stage is available.

The event will last for one month. During the entire period, all pilots will be able to earn the special game currency in battle — Xenochips.

  • Xenochips can be obtained for completing any tasks as an additional reward.

  • Xenochips are added to the game for a limited time, and after the end of the event they will be withdrawn from the game and from the accounts of all pilots. Make sure to spend your Xenochips before the end of the event!

  • Xenochips can be spent on special rewards during the event. 

UMC Archives: Storm season. Special packs and rewards

To get access to all rewards, pilots have to purchase the “UMC Archives: Storm season” pass in the official project store.

Jericho rank 16 ECM interceptor “Cinquedea”

The “Cinquedea” is the Sentinels’ ECM interceptor, created using a synthesis of various shipbuilding technologies. The Sentinels were able to optimize the way the technologies were adapted, producing an efficient machine. Despite its small-scale advertising campaign, the number of buyers of the “Cinquedea” has been high. The UMC is planning to get its mercenaries an opportunity to order one of these ships in the near future.

  • Rapid-fire plasma weapon

  • Hits on an enemy transfer energy from their ship into yours.

“Guided meta-field generator” active module

  • Makes the ship invulnerable and freezes it in place.

“Razor” protocol special module

  • The ship becomes immune to negative effects, captures several targets in front of it and begins to accumulate charge. When the charge is accumulated, a salvo is fired. Re-activation causes an early salvo. Activating modules, launching missiles, or firing weapons removes the immunity effect.

Unique engine modifier “Drift synchronizer”

  • Increases strafe speed and strafe acceleration.

Unique capacitor modifier “Superconducting switch”

  • Increases weapon damage and shield regeneration rate.

Shrine's Legacy - Positive_Concept_Games

Behind the scenes, we are working hard to get the game as finished and polished as possible. But I wanted to focus this update on some upcoming events, including an announcement (of an announcement)?!

Gamescom and PAXWest

Our publisher will be taking our game to Gamescom (August 20-24) and PaxWest (August 29-September 1). If you happen to be present at either of these 2 events be sure to say hi to the publisher at the booth, maybe even take a picture, we'd love to see it! As much as we'd love to be able to go to an event in-person again, for now the focus is solely on finishing the game in the best state possible.

As an aside, we were also recently a part of the Debut Festival, a new steam event made to appreciate developers who are making or who have finished their first commercial project! We even got a cool little badge to show off on our Steam page for it!

Lastly worth mentioning: On August 20th during Gamescom, we'll be releasing a very important announcement about the game. 😉

Mapping Progress

Beyond that, progress is constantly being made on the game itself! As just one example, a number of maps have been improved and polished, although a handful are still needing that final polish level. Here's a few examples of recent map glow-ups courtesy of our main mapper!

-resolved an issue with skin and hair color selection not replicating between players, you should now be able to see your friend's cosmetic selection properly.

-Removed the Frosterner race selection for more testing, added Elf race selection

- Three new enemy types can be found to clobber, the Orc Bruiser, the dark elf necromancer and the dark elf wizard. Also gave the darkelves a home outside of Wind's Perch in the highlands.

-AND fixed an issue with replication in the Bear form spell that caused other players to not be able to see you shapeshift. (though you can still draw your sword and fight while shapeshifted but that will be changed soon.)

Epilogue 1: The Swamp Witch

Nahatra’s growth has caused side effects that are shaking up the Garden. To stabilize the Garden, help the troubled Swamp Witch, Maydel, solve her problem and invite her to the tea party. Of course, like other domains in the Garden, Maydel’s swamp won’t be particularly friendly to Sil.

Gameplay

Unlike previous chapters, this epilogue is structured as a single map. Countless waves of enemies and successive mid-bosses will block Sil’s path. Defeat enemies within the time limit to earn greater rewards, and complete your build to take down the main boss!

New Weapon: Singing Scissors

After helping Maydel solve her problem, she will gift Sil with a new weapon, Singing Scissors, as a token of gratitude. When activated, Singing Scissors will perform ranged attacks for a set duration. We hope this will inspire new build combinations.

New Special Ability

In Maydel’s swamp domain, a special ability powered by Maydel becomes available. It can be used via a new action button and enhances Sil’s abilities in various ways. This ability is a unique system available only in Maydel’s swamp domain.

0.8.0 Patch Notes

※ When updating to version 0.8.0, any ongoing runs will be reset.

We have added a new epilogue chapter.

※ After updating the game, if you continue with existing save data where you have cleared Chapter 5, you can interact with the book in Sil’s House to open the Chapter Selection UI and proceed from there.

Balance Changes

We found that completing Dual Synergies was too difficult, so we have reduced the tag requirement from 8 to 7. As a result, the maximum level of passive traits for the five attributes has been lowered from 5 to 4.

We also found that building up the Thread, Flower, and Crow passive attributes was a bit difficult, so we increased their early-game damage and adjusted their growth rate. Overall, Thread, Flower, and Crow damage has increased by about 37% at 6 tags, and by about 12% at their maximum tag count (previously 8, now 7).
