With this update, we have added a fresh wave of new clothes so you can style your Little from day one, some controller support improvements, and squashed a bunch of pesky bugs to make everything feel just a bit more polished and peaceful. 🌟

Optimization 🛠️

We're currently optimising how the game handles sprites and atlases. By improving how these assets are loaded and organised, the game will require a little less from your hardware, helping with both performance and memory usage. These changes won’t affect the look of the game, but they will help things feel more responsive and stable. This is just the first part of a lot of the optimisations we are doing in this section. 🫰

Audio Changes 🎵
  • Voice lines added to Aveyard.

  • Voice lines added to Crimson Ace.

Balancing Updates ⚖️
  • Idle variation animations will not be taken into consideration during cutscenes and general dialogue.

  • We slightly reduced the price of a few items.

General Fixes 🎯
  • Objects can no longer be dropped on top of surfaces. Doing so was causing the dropped item to be lost.

  • Littles will no longer receive copies of items on their inventory as a result of dropping them on the wrong place.

  • Littles will no longer receive copies of items on their inventory as a result of dropping them in the wrong place.

  • Fixed the University's Ghost Wall.

  • Items placed on top of furniture will no longer interrupt the player's movement.

  • Save files whose music suddenly stopped playing will have their music playing back again.

  • Fixed Time-reliant Interactions from ending immediately.

  • Fixed enrolment being available too early.

Known Issues 🐛
  • Due to some performance rework on how we display character clothes, some shoes that expose the character's feet are rendering their colours into the feet sprites.

  • Bottom's Inside can be seen when washing hands with the Pyjama shirt.

  • Some Animations distort the rig a little bit.

1、The skill effect of the rifle "M4N2" has been adjusted to make it more powerful and rewarding to use.

2、A new pistol, "P5," has been added, ensuring that even cute girl characters remain strong with pistols.

I’m continuously refining weapon combinations and balance. In the next update, I plan to introduce unique zombies to bring more challenges to players in levels.

Forbidden Fantasy - OppaiMan.com

A few weeks ago, I spoke with OppaiMan and f1r3 about the format of the FF2 project, and we concluded that some changes to the project's scope could be beneficial. We concluded that if we had a ratio of 75% classic VN renders in conversation scenes and 25% cinematic renders, maintaining the animations and creating a lean, user-friendly system for casual players.

With this in mind, we spent the week exploring ideas, gathering references and concepts, generating ideas, while creating a sort of GDD and simultaneously generating tests. This week, we'll continue this process, and as soon as we have something to share with you, we'll create a post explaining everything. We'll gather feedback and create an MVP to share with the community.












A WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY to Change the GAME ENGINE

Considering the possible changes in the scope of the Forbidden Fantasy 2 project, we realized that Renpy has several limitations for creating minigames and other applications. So, I spent the week researching the pros and cons of various game engines that are more robust, can improve game quality, and are cost-effective alternatives for the company.

In my view, there's a window of opportunity to reevaluate the game engine we're using. Renpy is the best alternative on the market for a pure VN, but when it comes to a mixed VN with minigames, a battle system, and RPG elements, the situation changes completely.

After several analyses, we decided to test Godot for Forbidden Fantasy: Bloodlines.

🔧 Bugs & Technical Issues

Q: In co-op, characters levitated and clipped through the floor. Is this a known bug?
A: Likely a connection issue. Not something reproducible with current info.

Q: Is the equipment desync bug (client not seeing equipment recharging) fixed?
A: Yes, this was fixed in Update 16.

Q: Are you aware of bugs affecting client players like disappearing HUD or unusable gadgets?
A: The HUD bug is resolved. Other issues like climbing or gadget glitches are rare and hard to reproduce.

⚙️ Optimization & Performance

Q: Will we see a major optimization patch for PC and consoles?
A: We regularly optimize, but significant FPS boosts would require deep code and asset changes—not something quick or simple.

🎮 Gameplay Mechanics

Q: Will client-sided movement or damage be implemented?
A: Raytraced weapons already use client-side damage. Movement has some client-side authority, but full switch is unlikely due to how much logic is server-handled.

Q: On Rendezvous, why does killing civilians break Clean Execution even when enemies do it?
A: That was a bug—it has been fixed.

Q: Can we get acceleration vs. linear aim options for controller users on PC?
A: A bug report will be opened to address this.

📘 Campaign & Roguelite

Q: Will campaign runs eventually support permanent unlocks?
A: No. Aside from Club Assets and Boss Cards, it would break roguelite structure.

Q: Can “Art of the Heist” be added to Roguelite campaign?
A: Yes. There are plans to include it.

Q: Are more small/medium jobs coming to the campaign?
A: Yes. Update 17 adds a new branch bank and additional missions.

Q: The final Ranger mission is too difficult. Will it be adjusted?
A: Difficulty was lowered in 16.1. If feedback remains strong, we’ll revisit.

Q: Will we get a custom Roguelite difficulty option?
A: No. Too costly in time and resources.

Q: Will intro or outro campaign cutscenes return?
A: Maybe. Nothing confirmed yet.

Q: Will the Imperial version of Hidden Vault come to campaign?
A: Maybe. Good idea, could happen.

A: Yes, we plan to bring that back.

A: No. Only gangsters.

A: Casey’s outfit isn’t confirmed but expect Wiz news soon.

Q: Can we play as Buddy or Dollar Dragon in co-op?
A: Dragon is available via Gold Cup DLC. Buddy can be used via team switch, but not directly.

🤖 AI & Bots

Q: Will you continue improving bot behavior post-Update 14?
A: Definitely. Feedback is welcome, though responses are often subjective.

Q: Why do bots sometimes grab bags from the drop zone?
A: They shouldn’t. Could happen if bags are slightly outside the zone.

Q: Do AI use ziplines to transport loot?
A: Yes, they do. Should be consistent across missions.

📈 Events & Community Features

Q: Why can’t we track community event progress?
A: We're working on this for future events, including web-based tracking. These events are still experimental.

Q: Will missed community tier rewards ever return?
A: Yes. They will reappear in future events.

Q: Do you have more VO lines recorded by Michael Madsen?
A: Yes. We may use them if the opportunity fits, but nothing is guaranteed.

Q: Can you make a survival mode?
A: We got one! Rockay Rumble is our survivor mode. You must outlast 15 waves of the enemy.

Q: Are posters being replaced with AI art?
A: No. AI art is being replaced with handmade posters. More variety is coming soon to refresh the environment.

Forest Factory Simulator - Samle Indie Studio
We are preparing Forest Factory for full release.

This is an update that includes tutorials to make the gameplay more fun and to help you better understand where and what moves to make. Let's take a look at what has been added and changed.

New shop

We now have a shop in the town square so we can sell our products there (tablet sales are still active but will be completely deactivated shortly)

Customers

If there is a shop, there must be customers, so people in town can stop by your shop and buy products. since this is a very new feature, there may be bugs, you can write your feedback on discord.

Fixed issues/small additions:

We fixed the issue where the handbrake and the item drop button on the car were the same button, so when using the car brake we would drop the item on the ground.

We have strengthened the registration system of the game a bit more and we hope that this will end the registration problems.

We have improved the save delete button in the main menu. now it does the delete operation better.

At the time of machine purchase it felt bad that it spawned too close to us, now it will spawn a little further away.

We made a small tutorial for our shop in town.

We've increased the speed of the car so we can get to town faster. Time is money.

We solved the problem of not cutting the tree completely, which prevented us from getting the wood on the ground. now you can collect the wood without having to cut the tree completely.
