As we promised, the classic 2D side-scrolling action game Steel Sword Story has been upgraded and updated to Steel Sword Story S today!

The original version will remain playable after the update by selecting it in the Steam launcher.

*If you already owned the original game before the update but can't play the S version, please restart the Steam.




We've also added Steam-exclusive trading cards and badges!
Try to collect all the Steam items by playing the game!






As previously announced, the price of the game has increased alongside the update, from $4.99 to $9.99.
If you already owned Steel Sword Story before the update, you can play both the original and the S version starting today.

Please enjoy the newly evolved action experience!


Yhe project data for the original Steel Sword Story is included in the game folder, and it's still there after the update. If you're a Pixel Game Maker MV game developer, you could enjoy Steel Sword Story both as a game and as a project you can always open and reference whenever you want.

Steel Sword Story, the classic 2D side-scrolling action game that came to Steam in 2019, will receive a major overhaul update on June 11, 2024, becoming Steel Sword Story S! The original version will remain playable after the update, and the price of the game will also change once the update has been rolled out.



The game now has twice the content, controls better, and is more accessible than ever. Please look forward to the new and evolved Steel Sword Story S!

■ Steel Sword Story S on Steam - Changes

• New special moves such as Uppercut and Ground Slash!
  
• The map is now twice as big, with brand new areas to explore!
  
• New bosses, new mob enemies, and new items!
  
• New story segments, mainly in the final stage, that reminisce events that happened in the past and reveal truths of the story untold in the original Steel Sword Story.
  
• New Story Mode difficulty for players who might not be good at action games, but still want to enjoy the story until the end.
  
• 60fps for a smoother gameplay experience! (depending on your PC specifications)
  
• Steam trading cards and badges to collect!

Please note that once the game has been updated on June 11, the price of the game will be increased from $4.99 to $9.99.
