Major Features
  • Added a new boss to the final wave of the finale holdout. Defeating the boss adds its parts to the next carry over selection. The boss will use more of it's equipment on higher difficulties.
  • Added Extreme difficulty. Enemies are more abundant, the finale holdout lasts longer and the final boss has an additional phase.
Minor Features
  • Removed one wave from the finale holdout on Normal difficulty.
  • Reduced the amount of enemies on the map on Normal difficulty.
  • Reduced the scaling per mission of enemies on the map on Normal difficulty.
  • Moved the initial spawn point on missions further back.
  • Improved performance when tracked legs and chainblades are on screen.
  • Improved performance in rest areas.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed some attacks applying ragdoll forces in the wrong direction.
  • Fixed a bug with excess vital damage not carrying over to other vitals once a Granvir is destroyed. This means single instances of high damage can now trigger multiple lethal vital effects such as ragdoll+reactor meltdown. Overall, ragdolling should occur significantly more often, reactor meltdown+ragdolling should occur slightly more often and death while standing should occur less often when massive damage finishes off a Granvir. Finally, it will be much easier to clear out destroyed but still standing Granvirs.
  • Fixed multiplayer desync caused by selecting the HC2 Pistol in resistance support.
  • Fixed the autosave not clearing when returning to the main menu after a loss.
  • Fixed resistance support not triggering when continuing a run.

• Corrected several soft lock issues that would occur when pressing drop button.
• Corrected by removing blank spots on equipment when in the backpack, which would cause the mouse to "unrecognize" the object.

Embers Adrift - Monsoon
Due to a recent issue with Steam’s payment processing system, some users have experienced account-related disruptions and unexpected transaction activity. A support ticket has been opened with Steam, and we are actively working with their team to better understand and resolve the situation.

To ensure no one is negatively impacted during this time, we have issued full refunds for all eligible subscriptions made during the affected period.

Unfortunately, some transactions were initiated with an order number of 0 (mainly duplicated ones initiated by Steam, not us); for these we have no way to issue a refund from our end. We have reached out to Steam for guidance on how to issue refunds for these transactions but in the mean time we recommend that you contact Steam support to see if they can refund you for any remaining transactions.

Finally, we believe that all subscriptions should be cancelled at this point, but we recommend double checking your Steam account page to ensure that no active subscriptions to Embers Adrift remain.


In addition, as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation for our community’s patience, we will be making all subscription perks free to access for everyone throughout the upcoming holiday weekend. If you use "Login with Steam" your account will be granted all subscriber perks.

To help prevent similar issues in the future, we are actively working on adding alternate payment options to give our users more flexibility and reliability when purchasing subscriber perks.

We’ve welcomed 2025 while steadily working on the post-end content.

We are currently working on and preparing the update for our new DLC, WitchSpring R: The Follower’s Fall.
As we mentioned earlier, Post-Ending Story DLC for WitchSpring R will be released as a FREE update.

This is a small token of our gratitude to all the fans of the game. While the playtime is around 2 hours and not too long, we hope it will be a meaningful opportunity to see how Pieberry and her friends are doing after the ending.

The post-end content currently in development includes:

- A story about Pieberry



- A story about the Temple Lords



- A story about the Follower



- And stories about the friends afterward



In addition, 3 to 4 adorable new pets will also be waiting for you in the continent of Vavelia!



We’ve completed the content development and are now preparing for QA and voice recording.
Once that’s done, we’ll return to you with Pieberry once again.

Lastly, the Xbox port is also in progress, so please hang in there just a little longer!

Skigill

Skigill is a bullet-hell roguelike survivor with a huge skill tree!

The controls are simple; Skigill only uses the directions and a button. Move around and dodge enemies while your character automatically deals with them with the weapons. Then collect the resources left by the enemies to power up and survive.



The main particularity of Skigill is its skill tree. In Skigill, you power up by investing the resources in nodes of a huge skill tree spanning the entire battleground. This skill tree features stat bonus nodes, perks, and weapon loot nodes. This also means you will have to fight your way or hold your ground through enemies around a node you want.



I always loved the sphere grid from Final Fantasy X. It is a great concept that allows for flexibility and interesting choices for building our team while bolstering replayability. And I had wanted to experiment with that idea in a game for some time. With Skigill, you will be able to try different builds and strategies on a large skill tree in quick succession of 10 to 15 minute games!

Skigill has a much smaller scope than Master Key and Havenlocked, expect playtests to start very soon!

Cube Crusaders - Oberst
I'm going to keep it fairly brief today.

I've been absolutely slugging away at this next iteration of the demo, and I've finally got a fair bit to show for it:

- Added Friendly AI to help you in combat
- Added a new weapon, the Arc Rifle - high damage, short range, electric bolt
- Added a proper ending to the demo which transitions into the second level, after an epic fall-through-space sequence
I highly suggest playing through on Mouse and Keyboard.
