Update:

  • Characters now run when moving (instead of walking) by default. This can be toggled on or off in Options > Gameplay.
  • Camera panning added to the star map. Press Tab to re-center the camera on your ship, just like with the ground camera.
  • Player ship movement optimized. Performance improvements free up a significant amount of FPS previously consumed by this script.
  • Creature damage bonuses now apply to the entire party, not just the player character.
  • Player character names are editable. Click your name on the character screen to rename your character.

Today, we bring Ver. 1.1.0 to you, containing local co-op! With some extra controllers, you can now venture into Section 13 together, with everyone on the same couch.

For the list of changes in this patch, please see below:

New Content/Features
  • Added local co-op (max party size: 3)

    • Local co-op requires up to 2 extra controllers (host can play with a controller or with keyboard & mouse)

    • Access local co-op within the Esc menu

    • Agents joining a local co-op session can either load or copy from an existing save to carry over persistent progression

Changes/Improvements
  • Made improvements to the BlastWing Prototype drone

    • Drones will now attack Lady Okuni’s illusions

    • Drones will no longer attack inactive Mannequin enemies

  • Limited the number of additional enemies that spawn in the final boss battle

  • Removed the red barrier that appears upon entering the small room on the Office level

  • Adjusted the save timing after watching a character recruit dialogue

  • Adjusted the dialogue event after recruiting all characters

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed bugs in various locations that could cause characters to get stuck

  • Fixed an issue where the Portable Ripper turret would sometimes attack Agent characters

Please note that if you are playing at this time, your game will not be interrupted. You will be prompted to download the patch the next time you open Section 13. For the best gameplay experience, we recommend installing the update as soon as possible.

It’s been three months since the launch of Mercenaries of Trarthus, so it’s time to talk about what’s next for Path of Exile. In this news post, we'd like to give you a small update regarding the timeline for the 3.27 expansion.

As we announced earlier this year, we’re aiming for a four-month release cycle for both games, which puts the 3.27 launch around the end of October. We’ll reveal both the livestream and release dates in a few weeks. The ongoing Mercenaries of Trarthus League will also end late October, so those of you still working on completing challenges have plenty of time to do so.

We can’t wait to share the details of our next expansion with you soon! Stay tuned, Exiles!

Another month in the books! This update includes me filling out the world with treasures and quests, along with some bug fixes, new systems, stats, some puzzles and expanding some of the existing areas of the game to make exploration more meaningful.
