Oxygen Not Included - Klei-JoeW

Hello friends,

We're unleashing our new DLC today! Welcome to The Prehistoric Planet Pack

This DLC features an existential threat that no ONI colony has ever faced before: a massive impactor asteroid aimed right at this brave new world!

The Prehistoric Planet Pack travels deep into the past, to a forgotten world ruled by ancient dino-like critters—some so big that their stomping will auto-harvest crops, others so prey-driven that they can't be trusted in a ranch. (Do they also have a taste for Duplicants? Only one way to find out.) There are brand-new biomes, plants, resources, foods and buildings, as well as two new recruits who've been stranded there for longer than they can remember. Plus, an exclusive collection of cosmetic blueprints that cultivate a truly paleontological palette.

Discover new long-range firepower to help your crew valiantly defend their new home, obliterate the incoming space rock before it hits, and change the course of history. In this universe, there's no such thing as safe... luckily, survival is in Duplicants' DNA! (Sort of.) For colonies that thrive on an amplified threat of mass extinction, there's an extra-explosive scenario available in the Lab.

The Prehistoric Planet Pack can be purchased for 7.99USD and is available now on Steam, WeGame and Epic.

If you own more than one DLC, shake things up by using the Scramble DLC tool when making a new game! It works for The Prehistoric Planet Pack as well as past and future additions to the ONI universe.

The base game also gets a free update today! This includes a bunch of UI improvements, bug fixes, and critter tuning.

What's in this DLC?

  • New starting world: Relica

  • Two new Duplicants: meet Maya and Higby!

  • New biomes: A vine-filled Garden! A Jawbo-infested Wetlands biome! A Feather biome full of hungry Rhexes!

  • New critters: The mighty Rhex and Jawbo! The blissfully blank Lumb and Dartle! The winged Gnit and Mimika!

  • New plants: Ovagro Vine, Mimika Bud, Snactus, Ring Rosebush, Sweatcorn Stalk, Megafrond, Dew Dripper, Seakomb, Lura Plant

  • New buildings: a dino-meat Smoker, Peat Generator, Emulsifier, Fossil Block, Hanging Fossil Block

  • New elements: Shale, Amber, Resin (the old version has been renamed Sap), Peat, Nickel, Biodiesel, Iridium

  • New POIs: defense station ruins POI! Post-impact space destinations for base game! Post-impact space POIs for Spaced Out! Surface POI from the impactor asteroid's collision!

  • Exclusive prehistoric-themed cosmetic blueprints!

  • ...and more!

Take a crash course in planetary defense and usher in the Age of Duplicants with The Prehistoric Planet Pack!

Our heartfelt appreciation to all those who helped us polish things up during beta! Check out the patch notes and F.A.Q. below.

Oxygen Not Included - Klei-JoeW

We've got dino-mite news: The Prehistoric Planet Pack DLC comes out this Thursday, June 12th! It'll be available on Steam, WeGame, and Epic.

This DLC is a tribute to everyone who grew up wondering what it'd be like to coexist with dinosaurs... and whether or not they'd survive a dramatic encounter with an impactor asteroid! (It wasn't just us, right?)

Uncover an archaic starting world where cold-blooded Rhexes snack on smaller critters, heavy-footed Lumbs shake ripe crops right off their plants, and gigantic Jawbos lurk deep in fetid wetland pools. Lush fruit vines sprawl over walls and ceilings, while carnivorous flowers lure pesky Gnits to their doom... and produce valuable Amber. Elsewhere on the planetoid, strange plant buds deliver forth farm-supporting pollinator critters.

Duplicants can lug oversized racks of sinewy dino meat over to the new smoker building to make enough mouth-watering brisket to feed all their friends. They'll need their energy, if they're going to build a surface defense station capable of blasting the impactor asteroid out of the sky before it hits!

Plunge into this primordial planetoid now: Play the free beta version here today! The beta will be playable right up until the DLC goes on sale. Remember to back up your saves first.

The Prehistoric Planet Pack will be out on Steam, WeGame, and Epic at the same time. It will cost 7.99USD.
