For years, our small team has been hard at work building a game that we, ourselves, would play with our friends. And what’s come from that effort is something made from passion and grit that we couldn’t be more excited to share with the world.

So, today, we are celebrating.

But we’re not celebrating because we’re done. We’re celebrating because we’re finally starting. By putting Firebreak in your hands, we’re officially opening our doors to you and to every other player who wants to join us in being part of its future. Working together, we can and will continue to grow this game into the best version of itself that it can be.

Every game made is a miracle. As of today, we hope you and your friends will come be a part of ours.

• When a world is loaded, the game now despawns some mobs if there are more than 500 mobs in a 4x4 area. This scenario can typically only occur if mob farms have been left unattended for an extended period.

• Robot Arms no longer leave invisible dropped items on the ground if they pick up items when the player is not nearby. This could previously cause severe performance problems if Robot Arms were left unattended for an extended period.
  
• Fixed an issue where the Atlantean Worm sometimes created an extra map marker that wouldn’t follow the boss.
  
• Pets can now appear on bridges.
  
• Pets should now teleport to the player after a few seconds if there is no viable path due to a closed door.
  
• Root plants no longer break with a single hit.

Thank you so much for your patience and all the valuable feedback you’ve shared in your reviews and forum posts! The wait is over – here’s the list of improvements in the latest build we’ve been working on:

• Added a much-requested Turn Limit toggle to Settings.

• Changed how ammunition is presented to the player: "ammo in clip / total clip capacity (inventory stock)".

• Added exit prompts in areas that you cannot return to.

• Raised loot discovery radius.

• Slightly increased ammo drops in most levels.

• Slightly increased material drops in multiple mid-game levels.

• Removed or reduced enemy waves in many combat encounters.

• Added more Crystal slots in Places of Power after losing a character to compensate for lost quick slots.

• Fixed Peacekeeper’s Overwatch ability.

• Adjusted or removed specific tough enemies in some encounters to ease difficulty.

• Added or adjusted loot during/after combat, especially extra ammo or consumables.

• Improved quality-of-life mechanics, such as auto-removal of unused quest items and clearer indicators.
