Hey Fighters,
We have some good news! We decided to prolong the current round of beta testing for the upcoming weekend! The servers will shut down on July 26, 10 PM PDT. Thank you all for participating in this round of beta and for providing valuable feedback to us.

What's Next?
With all the feedback provided during this beta, we will continue to tweak some balancing-related mechanics. And our main programmer is working almost in 24/7 mode to fix all the major bugs and to keep up with the controller compatibility issues.

As the release date is coming closer at the end of this year, we hope to have one last round of beta testing before the official release. There is still much work left to be done and we also plan to add a couple of new characters for you to try.

Hello everyone!
It's been a while since our last beta test on Discord and we are finally ready for another round of Metal Revolution action on July 9th. We are sorry for such a long wait and as always thank you for sticking with us! We wanted to make sure that everything is ready before we do any official announcements about the beta test dates. And we are excited to run this round of testing both on mobile and PC with the cross-play support.

To participate in the beta on PC, please go to Alienware Arena website and create an account to claim a beta key. If you already got the key before, just update the game in your Steam library once the beta is live and you're good to go.

The android beta is only available on Brazil Google Play store.

Here is what's new:
1. First things first, we added 3 new characters Justitia, Gingdy, and Ethan Ledger to the existing character roster.


2. Optimized Game Hall and Ranked matchmaking. Players can now set different rules when opening a game room. They can also chat in the game room and send in-game gifts. The AI encountered in the ranking will also become more challenging according to your rank.


3. Added new activity system where players can get rewards by completing certain tasks. Some of the items are only available by completing some of the time-limited missions.


4. Added a player profile page with detailed information about rank, win rate, playstyle, favorite character, etc.


5. Added new features in the free training mode. Now you can make the opponent perform certain actions like jumping or blocking to practice your combos even better.


There have been way too many changes in terms of gameplay since the last beta build and it will be almost impossible to cover them all in one post. We also acknowledge that the English localization and mobile-looking UX are probably the biggest problems at the moment that we still didn't have enough time to polish. But we assure you that we will take care of it when the game is almost finished and we get closer to the release dates. We are very excited to see how the new gameplay changes will be received by our community. And as always, thank you for playing the game!

Hey guys! We are happy to announce that after such a long wait the Metal Revolution BETA is finally back online! To join the BETA test you will need to visit our Discord server and request a key from a bot: https://discord.gg/aEUQkj6

Please keep in mind that this version does not represent the final product and the EN translation still needs to be polished. The main purpose of this playtest is to test out the core gameplay and the connection of our servers.

What’s New?
Ranked Mode

  • Added a network status indicator that appears before initiating matchmaking to let the players know whether or not their network is suitable for the match.
  • Optimized ranked matchmaking that doesn’t allow players to be matched with the same opponent for the next 60 seconds. We encourage players to challenge as many opponents as possible.
  • Limited the number of rematches that a player can have with the same opponent to only
  • Keep in mind that on lower ranks players might get matched with AI, when there is not enough players online. It’s a temporary solution for this period of beta. We plan to get rid of AI opponents in the future, when servers get populated with more players.

Ring Mode (Match Event)

  • Added a daily challenge for everyone to join that opens from 8PM – 11PM PST to the main screen.
  • Players can join any of the available rooms as well as queue or spectate for the ongoing matches. The higher the player ranks, the higher chance that he/she will be next in the queue to challenge the winner.
  • If a player is on a 10-round win streak, then he/she can claim special rewards for dominating the competition!
  • If a player looses a match, then their win streak resets and the player goes back to spectator mode.

New Characters

  • Kong, a modified cyber Monkey King who wields a powerful pole is finally joining the Metal Revolution roster. He is also a master of deception with his doppelganger techniques, which can be very useful for controlling distance between the players.
  • Xophi-IX has an updated look and a voice over in French. We also tweaked some of her specials and combos.
  • We are also constantly working on bringing new fighters to the character roster with the upcoming updates. As announced previously, we plan to have 16 playable characters by the time of the game release during spring 2020. More info about the new characters will be revealed very soon!

In-Game Cosmetics and Shop

  • Added a variety of avatar frames for in-game profile picture. They can be unlocked by playing in Ranked Mode or by leveling up your player profile. If you are one of the strongest players and sit at the top of the ladder, you will have a special avatar frame!
  • Added a variety of new character skins in the game store.

Background Info
Kim Woo Ryong wants to spread the knowledge of his martial arts to all who would want to learn. He views himself not only as a teacher of Taekwondo, but also as a perpetual student. Even though he now has an enhanced robotic body, he still uses the traditional sparring headgear to remind himself that he still has much to learn. He is more of a “by the book” type character, more serious and formal. He seeks to perfect his fighting ability and hopes that by becoming a robot, he can attract more students and ultimately dive deeper into the art of Taekwondo.

Quick Attacks
A Quick Attack combo is executed by simply pressing (X) rapidly 4 times.


Special Attacks
The Vertical Kick (Y) has a bit longer range and deals moderate damage.


The Skull Shatter (⇧ + Y) has more range and deals a decent amount of damage.


The Somersault Kick (⇧ + X) - is an anti-air move that works well when combined with the Flash Kick (Y in the air on the last hit).


The Teleport Kick (⇩ + Y) is a tricky special move that by itself, can launch an opponent into the air or it can be canceled and converted into other special moves, even a dash.





Once you have a better understanding of the cancels and timing for landing a Teleport Kick, you can trick the opponent into different set plays and start executing combos like this:



Air Attacks
Jump Kick (X in the air)


Flash Kick (Y in the air)


Aerial Double Kick (⇧ + X + X in the air)



Throw/Grab
Normal Throw (⇦ + X when close to the opponent)
It’s always good to follow up a Normal Throw move with a quick attack combo.


A Special Throw (⇦ + Y when close to the opponent) deals much more damage than a normal throw and always knocks the opponent on the ground.


Ultimate Moves
A Mini-Ultimate (RB) consumes 3 energy bars and teleports behind the opponent to deliver a powerful attack.


The Ultimate Art (⇩ + RB) can only be activated when your health is <30% and you have a full energy bar.


Please keep in mind that since the game is still under development, there is a chance that we may apply some changes to this character in the future. Hi everyone!

Here is a brief introduction to some of the core gameplay mechanics in Metal Revolution. We understand that fighting games have a certain feel about them in terms of inputs and controls, and that our game breaks away from the traditional input methods. That's not to say that we've tried to start from scratch but we have made changes that, while new fighting game players might not notice, veterans of the fighting game genre may find jarring at first playthrough (particularly because we have a separated jump button). Combo (X/Y)
A combo is a special action that combines by several moves, such as quick attacks or special attacks. In order to help new players easily execute combos, fighting games have recently added a “one-click combo” function. If you have never played a fighting game, a “one-click combo” lets you unleash some cool combos on your opponent at the touch of a button. In Metal Revolution, you can make some simple combos by repeatedly pushing one button or you can get creative by combining different special moves.

Throw/Grab (⇦ + X/Y)
Every character in Metal Revolution can perform two types of throws, the Normal Throw and the Secondary Throw. The Normal Throw is a move that each character has in his/her disposal. You can input the specified command (⇦ + X/Y) when you are close enough to your opponent to execute the throw. This move is an important technique to break an opponent's guard.

Normal Grab + Quick Attack

On the other hand, Throw Tech is a skill that can be used to escape the opponent's throw.
To use the Throw Tech, input the same throw command (⇦ + X/Y) when your opponent wants to grab you so you can escape it.

Secondary Throw

Command Throw/Grab (⇩/⇧ + Y) is available only for some characters like grapplers. Command Throw usually deals more damage and it can’t be countered by Throw Tech.

Anti-air Throw

Dashing (B)
Consumes 1 energy bar.
Dashing is a very important mechanic for evading attacks or for quickly appearing behind the opponent’s back. The character will also have a short invincibility time during the dash.

Forward and Backward Dash

Super Dash (⇩ + B)
Consumes 2 energy bars.
The Super Dash is much further than the normal dash and has a canceling ability that can be converted into powerful combos.

Long Jump (⇧ + B)
The Long Jump is higher and further than the normal jump, but it consumes one energy bar.

Burst (⇧ + RB)
Consumes 4 energy bars.
Release an enormous amount of energy and push back the opponent. This move is especially useful to escape a dangerous situation when the opponent tries to land a long combo.

Parry (⇩ + X)
Consumes 1 energy bar (it also works when low on energy)
Counter opponent’s attack and recover 2 energy bars. It slightly pushes the opponent and gives you a short opening to perform a quick counter attack. Parry can be also executed while blocking.

Block Break
As you already noticed, there is an energy meter located just below the health bar. When you are low on energy, your guard is easy to be broken. Strategically managing your energy meter is crucial in Metal Revolution.

Quick Raise (A/B while falling)
When you are down, you can get up quickly by pressing the jump/dash button to avoid the opponent's combo. But if you are in the corner, sometimes it might be better to stay down for a little bit. Maybe your opponent has already prepared an attack for your quick raise.

Mini-Ultimate (RB)
A special move that consumes 3 bars of a player’s energy and deals a decent amount of damage. Depending on the character, this move can be executed in a variety of different ways and it’s useful for creating deadly combos.

Ultimate Art (⇩ + RB)
The ultimate ability can be executed only when a player is low on health (<30%) and has a full energy meter. It deals a huge amount of damage to the opponent and it’s usually very hard to land, depending on the character. It’s a very good come-back move, but timing is everything.
