<Demo Patch Notes Ver. 1.1.0>

We have released Ver.1.1.0 with the following updates:

Update Details
  • Revamped “Single Play” Mode

    The previous “Practice with CPU” mode has been reborn as “Single Play”!

    What was once a 1v1 format has now been expanded into a 4-player battle featuring the player plus three CPU opponents.

    Even when playing solo, you can now fully experience the strategic depth and excitement that the game is all about.

  • Selectable Waiting Method for Random Matches

    You can now choose how long to wait when entering a Random Match:
    “Short” (up to 60 seconds)
    “Long”

    If you select “Short” and matchmaking doesn’t complete within 60 seconds, CPU players will be added to start a 4-player match.

    If you select “Long,” the game will keep waiting until you’re matched with other players.
    A 60-second countdown begins when you’re first matched with another player.
    Once the timer reaches zero, the game starts with the number of players currently waiting in the matchmaking queue.

  • Various UI Adjustments

    We’ve updated various UI elements in accordance with the above changes.

    Whether you’re trying the demo for the first time or have been playing since its initial release, this new version offers a refreshed experience.

    The updated demo is now available on Steam starting today!

Introducing the Game Rules! See what's changed for versus play!

The basic rules are unchanged from the previous title.

Combine fruits of the same kind to make them bigger!

Keep growing your fruits bigger and bigger to aim for victory!

Victory goes to the player who earns the highest score in 4 minutes, or the one who creates a watermelon first! It's up to you which strategy to pursue: focus intensely on making many large fruits to rack up your score, or carefully aim to complete a watermelon.

In this game, dropping fruit won't end your run; you can keep playing!

In Fruit Mountain, if fruit fell off the plate, it was game over. But in Fruit Mountain Party, that won't happen. However, dropping fruit will result in a score deduction and you'll lose any items you've acquired. So, try your best not to let them fall!

Interfere with your opponents using Jammer Fruit and Items!

When you create a large fruit, the Jammer Fruit will be sent to your rival. Send them many to interfere with their game.

 Additionally, making large fruits will also cancel out any the Jammer Fruit your rival sends your way. the Jammer Fruit will drop at the location of the gray marker.

You'll randomly get an 'Item' when your Item Gauge is full! The Item Gauge fills up by throwing in fruits or by chaining combos. You can use an item by pressing the X button or the Z key.

There are 7 types of items!

\[Paint]

Hurl paint to cover a random player's screen, obstructing their view.

\[Upgrade]

Increases the size of the fruit in your hand by one stage.

\[Jammer Fruit / Jammer Fruitx3]

Drops Jammer Fruit onto a random player's plate.

\[Minus Fruit / Minus Fruitx3]

Drops Minus fruit onto a target player's plate, shrinking their fruit.

\[Fruit Thief]

Steals the second-largest fruit from a target player's plate.


Keep growing your fruits to send back Jammer Fruit' and utilize various 'Items' to gain an advantage!

The demo will remain free to play even after the Steam Next Fest concludes.

Hi there! I have a small update for you all -- achievements! Originally I didn't think people would care about achievements, but quite a few of you asked for them so I decided to add some to the game.

There are 7 achievements, all of which require you to visit the cemetery on certain days. I hope these will encourage you to visit the cemetery throughout the year and see how the cemetery changes with the seasons!

My goal was to get these out yesterday so that you could all get the father's day achievement, but unfortunately I pushed this update pretty late in the day. However I did test these achievements with time travelling and they still work, if you'd like to change the date on your computer and play the game you'll be able to unlock yesterday's achievement.

Here's a hint for the hidden achievement: it's a reference to A Mortician's Tale. I worked on Seasonala with most of the same people I worked with on A Mortician's Tale and the game is very near and dear to our hearts. There's a lil easter egg in the game and you'll get an achievement if you play the game on a certain day related to it.

v0.2.4.3 - Balance, some changes and many fixes.

Balance:

🟢Refined Bow (Epic): 3.5s cooldown --> 3s cooldown | Fix: Started at 1 multicast instead of 0. This was actually a bug.

🟢Flask of Excellence (potion shop, gives +10 income): 20 gold --> 10 gold.

🟢Potion of Fortitude (potion shop) +200 max hp --> +350 max hp.

🟡Cobalt Spear remake: 40 damage | 3.3s cooldown | 50 gold | Ability: "Drag spears here to consume them and permanently gain their damage and crit." //Dev comment: this eliminates the late game multicast insta-kill, but opens up an interesting build of spear stacking with Conjure Spear and then eating them all at once with Cobalt Spear.

🔴Twinfangs (Legendary): Changed from dagger to sword. Now has a new sprite and is called Cutlass. This prevents it from being triggered by Dagger Manual thus removing the insane late-game one shot. Also: 2.4s cooldown --> 2.9s cooldown | 8 dmg per sell --> 10 dmg per sell.

🟢Frozen Orb (Epic): 5.8s cooldown --> 5.6s cooldown.

🟢Holy Sigil (Epic): 3.9s cooldown --> 3.8s cooldown

Other:
  • Added 2 new lucky rolls to the "Lucky Rerolls" option by Carmen (to a total of 13).

    1. Shop contains a Mirror Elixir (45 gold).

    2. You stumble upon a treasure vault. (Here the shop will contain goblets, treasure chests, Potion of Excellence and Value Potions).

  • Carmen's lucky rolls have been divided into 2 buckets. These 2 buckets have 60% / 40% chance of appearing when a lucky roll occurs, making the more exciting ones slightly more likely to occur than the less exciting ones.

  • The roof of the tower has been changed visually. This is to make it easier to make Tower Skins, which I am currently adding for the full release.

  • The Oak is now level 1000 instead of 100. Get rekt.

Fixes:
  • Using a Value potion from the potion shop on another value potion no longer crashes the game. Same with potion of appearance.

  • Freezing the potion shop and then buying potions will no longer cause those potions to reappear next day.

  • Potions will no longer disappear in the "end" screen after you win.

  • Anvil and Conjure Spear will now actually produce Forge Blades/spears after you win/lose in the end screen.

  • "Ding" sound from lucky rolls has been reduced by 50% in volume.

  • A Thousand Cuts now has a slash animation against enemy tower.

  • Warhorn sometimes accidentally buffed a weapon on the opposing team. This has been fixed.

  • The word "Other" was added to Lapis Lazuli text.

  • When you triple an Anvil, the iron stacks will now carry over, taking the highest amount of iron stacks from the 2 anvils you have.

  • Picking the "+1 Multicast to a shield" option from the Shieldbearer no longer causes the next Lifeguard you buy to gain +20 shield.

  • Added a "gold spent" sound effect when buying potions from the potion shop.

  • Fixed a bug where you could "sell" an item without losing it, but still gaining the sell gold if you dragged it very fast over the sell button.

  • Fixed a bug where the triple chest would not open and stick to the mouse if you dragged it very quickly over the "USE" button.

Hydro - HarmanMotor

Greetings all!

It's been a while since I've touched the Demo build of Hydro (and made an appearance here), but today I thought I'd quickly shoot across two small quality-of-life (QoL) updates which have long been included in the Full Version currently in development, but I feel that should also be in the Demo.

This now takes the Demo v0.28d (you can verify your version on the Main Menu of the game).

These QoL improvements are:

  • Greatly increased 'authority' of the Generator RPM Governor lever - you can now reduce the RPM of the Generator down even further and this should help when the river flow is going a little bit crazy. This means you can now have much greater control over the RPM and this should stop the dreaded over-speed 'bells' from continually tolling (and tripping-out the Generator) like it used to before.

  • Tied Generator RPM to sound effect of generator - this is more of an 'aural experience' hot-fix. I thought you might appreciate it all the same :-)

That's it for now. Note that I am heavily involved with late-stage development of the Full Version of Hydro right now, so my primary focus and energies will continue to be that until 1st August release date of the full release.

There's a lot that continues to be added to the Full Version of the game, and I will set aside time over the coming weeks to either release another Dev Log on my YouTube channel or post an update here.
