Bigfoot Life - Planet 47 Games
The Bigfoot Life Demo has been updated and is now live. Below are some of the updates and fixes.

Demo Updates and Fixes

  • Added in a Bigfoot Knowledge tab in the game menu. This will provide you with more information about bigfoot and other things.
  • Foot Size has been added as a customization for the Demo. The full game already has this feature and more customization options than the demo in general.
  • Bigfoot will now jump higher when running.
  • Updated some items like being able to light your stick on fire. It will have more useful uses in the full game.
  • Fixed human animation stopping sometimes when Bigfoot was holding them.
  • Fixed grill lid attachment position.
  • Updated and fixed some localization issues. Also, the Full game is being localized by professional human translators so it will be much more accurate than the demo.
  • Other small misc fixes.

The Demo will also be featured in the upcoming Steam Next Fest in October.

Potential Release Date

Right now nothing is definite, but there is a possibility the full game could be released as soon as a few weeks after Next Fest at the beginning of November. I will provide more details on this as soon as I can.

Health Updates and Decision Making

If you have followed any of the recent News posts on the Steam Hub for Bigfoot Life you may already be aware that I had a bone marrow transplant recently. I had a rare disease called VEXAS which also led me to having blood cancer. The transplant was successful and I now have a second chance at life. I am beyond thankful for the donor and this blessing.

Since being released back home to Indiana from the NIH (National Institutes of Health) in May I had not been feeling the best and started to get worsening new symptoms. This had made it difficult to make the progress on the game I wanted and to release the game when I originally planned to. Thankfully I had a couple programmer contacts who have been able to help me during this time. Their names are listed under programmers and the developer sections of the Credits in the Demo and Full Game. I am so thankful for the help.

Things got pretty bad a couple weeks ago and I am now actually back at the NIH in Maryland. They finally have a diagnosis for the new health issues. I have GVHD (Graft Versus Host Disease). They are on top of things here and I am very thankfully to finally know what is going on. I will probably be out here for at least another couple weeks while they monitor everything since starting the new treatment.

I've been able to use this time to evaluate where Bigfoot Life is at and what the best way forward for the game is. I believe the best decision is to get the game out to all of you as soon as I can during this time that I am starting to feel a little better. After transplant you just never know when things might happen or turn in the wrong direction so I feel it is best to make the push to get the full game out soon.

At launch the game may not have all the features or be exactly what I originally had hoped for but hopefully it will still be a good game that players will enjoy to play. I still believe it is important to be able to get the game out sooner rather than later because of the health issues and the uncertainty around that. I will continue to support and update the game after launch as well. This will allow me to keep providing updates and make the game the best possible game that it can be.

I hope to get a new trailer and screenshots out before Steam Next Fest next month.

🏠 Condo Changes
📺 Webscreen Video Requests
Previously, visitors in your Condo had to manually type video titles into chat to suggest them to the host. That made watching videos and listening to music with friends feel less seamless than it should be. 😑

Suggesting videos has now been made effortless: visitors can now just click a video in the browser, and it will appear in chat as a clickable link for the host! 🤩


Played videos are now broadcasted as links in the chat, making the chat a reversible watch history! 🧠

The Isle of Elanor - CommonWombatGames
- Added rugs to many interior locations.
- Rugs can now be rotated by right clicking when the rug is selected.
- Began build out of the tavern in Hardborough. Added a rug, furniture and items to the interior of the tavern. I will soon be adding NPCs to the tavern, and updating the AI of Hardborough NPCs to visit the tavern.
- Calen now sells a fishing pole. In the next update, basic fishing will be working.
Holiday Motel Simulator - RED_PHOENIX_INTERACTIVE
Fixes

Room Service: fixed an issue where dirt was not counted correctly by the vacuum cleaner – cleaning progress is now tracked properly.

Quest 9 – drink machine widget: fixed a bug where the widget overlapped and prevented filling the drink machine. The widget now appears under the machine app interface. This issue only affected low-resolution monitors.

Task list – bathroom furnishing: clarified the description – added information that the toilet paper holder and towel hanger can be found in the Service section of the Motel Mart app.

Room 1 – doors: added a notification indicating that the door will unlock as the mission progresses. The previous message was unclear and could be misleading.

Notes (important for existing saves affected by the vacuum cleaner bug)

If the vacuum cleaner bug has already been saved into your current game progress, you don’t need to start over.
We’ve added a special bind that resets the faulty Room Service counter once, letting you keep your progress.

This only applies if you’ve already cleaned the entire room, but the game still shows the message saying “not everything has been cleaned”.

Step-by-step instructions

Enter the room where the bug occurs.

Press CTRL + ENTER to activate the developer console.

⚠️ WARNING: Do not use any other codes – they may damage your game or save.

The console is provided only to help fix this bug.

If the Room Service task list appears → press “5” to reset the faulty counter.

If the task list does not appear:

Press “Z” to bring it up.

Then press “5” to reset the counter.

After resetting, leave the room and re-enter to check if the task list has updated.

Book the room for a guest – it must be a fully cleaned room after a complete Room Service.

Wait until the guest checks out (tip: sleep through the number of days of their stay).

From now on, the bug should no longer appear. Perform Room Service normally.

Save your game – your save file is now clean and free of the bug.

After you will leave the game and reload your save, all will be working fine and the codes will be off.
