Missing Maps

I had to radically alter the way in which treasure maps were generated. There are a limited number of possible map locations, so once it generated all the possible maps, no new treasure maps would appear. So, for instance, every time you left a dungeon, there were any number of treasure maps generated by the overworld creatures/NPCs. If you went back into the dungeon, and did not get those maps, they would be gone and the game would not generate them again. Very bad design!

In this latest build, it only generates a map once you open a treasure chest, or interact with a creature. This way, it will make sure you will have access to every possible map in the game (though you may choose not to take it, I guess).

Since one quest now depends on using a treasure map, it was possible for that quest to be unwinnable. However, this would only happen if you started the game yesterday after the update, and played enough to exhaust all the maps.

Dungeon Messages

The little messages scrawled on the walls of dungeons now provide a small XP boost the first time you encounter them.

Subterranean Sea

The Great Abyss is the name for the whole underworld, but also for the subterranean sea which fills much of it. Now that sea provides the appropriate ambient sounds when you are near the shore or in the boat.

Bug Fixes
  • Plate gauntlets provide better protection than chain gauntlets now.

  • Some descriptions were shortened to fit in the appropriate area.

  • Gold from buried treasure should no longer include decimal points.

  • Using Anti-Venom (Atterlothe) will now update your maximum life correctly.

  • Big error if you start a new game, then cancel and load a saved game, has been fixed.

We’re back with another update crafted to meet the needs of our amazing community!

We’ve heard that some of you were running into trouble with the default keyboard layout, and we knew it was time to give you full control. 🛠️

This update introduces Complete Key Rebinding Support for both Keyboard & Mouse, allowing you to customize your controls exactly how you like them. Alongside this, we’ve included a number of bug fixes to improve your overall experience.

🕹 Complete Key Rebinding

With this update, you now have the ability to customize over 80 keybindings, giving you full control over how you interact with the game.

This includes everything from general movement to more specific systems like mini-games and UI interactions.

We’ve made sure that nearly every aspect of the game can be tailored to your personal preferences, so you can play in the way that feels most comfortable and intuitive to you.

✅ Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue that prevented players from entering concerts when working as a Guitarist.

  • Fixed a bug where parking your vehicles in specific lots caused them to appear in incorrect locations.

  • Player movement is now properly reflected during Basketball matches and while driving, fixing the issue where modified keys had no effect.

  • Fixed a bug where an incorrect notification would appear about missing band members when attempting to start a concert through your Manager.

  • Adjusted the exit points of the Pharmacy Store, Lulu's Boutique and Tech Center to prevent players from being hit by cars upon leaving the buildings.

  • You can now perform with a microphone right at home! (In next updates, we will allow players to carry the microphone around, so you'll be able to take your performances outside and sing anywhere you like.)

  • Minor spelling errors in the English localization have been corrected.

🔮 A Glimpse Into the Future

These are some of the things what we're currently working on;

  • A new feature that will allow players to adjust the difficulty settings for all mini-games, giving you more control over how you want to experience them.

  • Option to toggle these mini-games on or off entirely, making the gameplay experience even more flexible and accessible.

  • Introducing some new features and improvements specifically related to the Jobs system.

  • Integrating Steam Cloud saving in a future update. This will make it much easier to access your progress across multiple devices, giving you a seamless and secure gameplay experience.

  • Specific adjustments for Steam Deck users.

  • New clothes, hairstyles and a variety of additional customization choices! 👗

Innovation Content

1. Some skills have had their casting animations removed.

2. More zombies have been added to the game, with their distribution made more even to prevent them from all following the player.

3. Characters will now start with two weapons by default to avoid the limitation of having only one weapon and to enhance the gaming experience.

4. Vincent will start with a rifle, with the knife in his backpack. Mike will also receive a basic shotgun.

5. In combat scenarios, leveling up will increase the in-game slashing speed, shooting speed, and attack range.

6. All skills that deal damage with projectile ammunition will now have a penetration effect that increases with level.

7. Secondary weapons, which previously had no attribute bonuses, have now been given practical functions.

• 7.1 If both hands are holding knives, skills that release sword energy or slash will perform two attacks. Other skills that do not require specific weapons will have a chance to fire in bursts.

• 7.2 When reloading firearms, the additional skill embedded in the equipped chip will be immediately triggered.

• 7.3 For example, if Vincent equips the Thunderstorm Chip and purchases a pistol with an attached skill from the store, the skill of the Thunderstorm Chip will be triggered immediately after every 5 shots. This allows for better synergy between the equipped chips and the chosen weapons.

Bug Fixes

1. Fixed the issue with incorrect storage of settings.

2. Corrected some text description errors.

3. Optimized the logic for randomly upgrading skills to prevent the inability to get more random results without spending currency.

Brigand: Oaxaca - brianlancaster45

Was playing Smashzone's Arctic Adventure mod and got frustrated with Brigand's half-functional ladders. I climbed up a lighthouse and found a revolver, then couldn't get back down. Problem is fixed and you can now climb down ladders by using them from the top. You can also stop half-way up and not fall off automatically.

Also increased max save and story slots from 20 to 30, added new menu option to change plugin font type separately from normal font type, and updated default Steam Deck controls.

  2. Tweaked the target Swap count on level 1.16 for better balance

  3. Fixed an issue where cancelling the first language change reset the game to the default language
