為何採用搶先體驗模式？

「We chose early access because we decided that Trawel was ready to be played, despite not having all the graphics and sound that will be in the full release.」

「The game will be in early access for at least several more months (expected from July 2023) as the remaining assets of the game are created and refined, and the base game content polished and refined.」

「The full version of Trawel will have complete art, with no placeholder assets. Additionally, major gameplay improvements are planned and will be released leading up to the 1.0 release.」

「The current game is entirely playable, but the graphics and the music are not complete. What we have of these assets so far can be found in game.
The game content is rough in some areas, but the combat and core gameplay loop of exploration are complete.」

「Trawel will be priced the same in and out of early access.」

關於此遊戲

Trawel is a historically-inaccurate open world text adventure RPG. Created as a re-imagining of old-school calculator and early command line games, it eschews their limitations but attempts to capture their spirit, and bring it in line with modern quality of life standards with a graphical GUI.

Oldschool games often were limited by memory, processing power, displays, and inputs. Trawel is heavily data-driven, with partly-procedural, partly-handcrafted abstract environments. Visuals are used as aides, and do not determine the gameplay.

Of particular note, the Graphical version here offers a mouse/controller/keyboard interface to make playing the game easier for those used to modern applications.
The game will also boot in text-only mode at the same time, which tends to be compatible with most screen readers.

Trawel gameplay is heavily focused on exploring the world, finding better gear, and deciding to use it or sell it. It also features an opportunistic choice-oriented combat system.
