Why Early Access?

“Right now Re-O-Ri is a work in progress, with many of our planned features still being developed. Since we're a small independent studio and publisher, we are opening the game to all who are interested for testing and suggestion purposes. At its current stage Re-O-Ri is a fun, nostalgic, and challenging way to experience card style gameplay in VR. In Early Access we want to build upon that with our players so they can play the game the way they want! With the communities help, we can make Re-O-Ri a unique experience that a large audience will enjoy.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About 10-12+ months. Development length will depend on the community traction and support of the project in Early Access. The more interest shown in the game the more we can justify working on it.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Future features include:
- Story mode with strategy driven AI enemies
- Desktop mode compatibility for online and local
- Unique PvP survival tournament mode
- Online Leaderboards
- Customizable decks and avatar
- Public dueling lobby
- 25 monsters, special monsters, spells, and trap cards”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, the Early Access version includes one AI opponent, online multiplayer PvP, and one starter deck.

In the AI battle, players use their monster, spell, and trap cards to defeat enemy monsters and bring their opponent's health to zero.

Online battles are intense and require real strategy, skill, and faith in the cards. Steam allows you to play with your friends no matter which HMD theyre using.

The starter deck is 40 total cards consisting of 14 unique monsters, 10 spells, and 1 trap card.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game may be priced once all features and content are done. Currently the plan is to stay Free to Play and add DLC options for players to support the game by purchasing additional content like aesthetics, card packs, and other unlockables.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a discord for players to join our tester community and accompany us in Re-O-Ri's development. We will be posting updates on our community discord - discord.gg/QbXruHe - where we organize tester meetups, and well be posting updates on social media. Some will be short, as the team is small and a week is sometimes not enough time to show off flashy updates. However, we believe that constant communication, no matter how small, is important. We want the community's feedback not just for testing and debugging purposes, but for feature and artwork suggestions as well!”
