Wozu Early Access?

„For those worried about game performance on their computers, PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE DEMO FIRST. I am a single developer and only have three machines for testing. The best way to see if the game will run on your system is to try the demo. If the demo plays well, the rest of the game should play well.

Even though Badminton Warrior is mainly complete, it is starting as an early access title for several reasons. The most important is that I want to receive feedback on the game in terms of design, difficulty, possible achievements, points of frustration, and what players like most about it. Constructive suggestions are always welcome because my hope is to make the game as good as possible for final release.

In addition to this, I would also like to get input on how Badminton Warrior runs on different systems. As stated before, I only have three computers that I can test it on at the moment. I have already found variations in how each handles the game, so it would be nice to have a wider sampling from multiple systems.

Finally, although I have play tested the game extensively, there are always bugs that pop up here and there that I can address before doing an official release.“

„At the moment, the game has a planned release schedule of Summer 2019. This date may change based on how long it takes to fix bugs and implement improvements suggested by the community.“

Wie soll sich die Vollversion von der Early Access-Version unterscheiden?

„The current version does not have achievements built in, an end credit sequence, different playable characters, or any special power ups. Depending on the input of early access players, some of these will be added to the game. I have to see what is most important to the community. Because the early access version will be updated periodically, the full version should be the same as the final early access version.“

Was ist der derzeitige Stand der Early Access-Version?

„All the level designs, enemies, and bosses are complete. A player can play through the whole game from beginning to end without a problem. There are sixteen levels total. There is also a tutorial level that the player can play through to learn the game. The stage select screen and menus are also complete. All the cutscenes are finished with the exception of the end title sequence. Audio levels can be set and the screen can be resized to whatever dimensions the player wants. For more information, please refer to the "About This" section as all the features listed have already been implemented.“

Wird dieses Spiel während und nach Early Access unterschiedlich viel kosten?

„Currently there is no plan to increase or decrease the normal retail price of this title before or after release. The title may be put on sale, though.“

„For those who purchase the full early access game, I look forward to hearing their feedback and suggestions. If anybody comes up with a cool level idea, enemy, or boss, I will implement it if possible. Similarly, I will remove things if a large enough group finds certain aspects of the game too frustrating. I also plan to run contests where players can submit fan artwork that may be used in the game or on the store page. Because I am a single developer, the final credit sequence is pretty barren as of now. I may include some of the early access players into the credits if I feel they really put in a lot of effort towards making the game a success.“
