What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

Special MAGFest Indie Videogame Showcase Sale, from Jan 3-9! Get it at a great price for a limited time!

This game is in-development, but has already been enjoyed by thousands of Early Access players and at exhibitions in the mid-atlantic area. We want to share the fun as we finish! This is already a great experience for you to enjoy - play full Party games on 3 boards with 14 minigames, practice any minigame as much as you like, and try the challenge mode for a faster competitive experience.

We're aiming to have 20 minigames, and 5 game boards, for the full release. But as we deliver new content, we want to make sure you like it, and use your feedback to influence our decisions.

We want to hear how YOU are enjoying the game as it progresses. Your comments will help us stay true to our goal of creating an accessible VR game you'll be excited to share with your friends and family. We hope to share the magic of VR with everyone!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Estimated release in 2020. We have almost all of our minigames and boards, and after they're done we will polish the graphics, performance, and juiciness until we think it's as good as possible.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Add many more minigames, and a handful of new boards. Asymmetric gameplay will allow the spectating players to interrupt or assist the current VR player (feature is live!). Extra board game spaces, like The Big Wheel (feature is live!), board-specific event triggers (feature is live!), and more will mix up the gameplay and add an element of luck to each game. Extra framing sequences including an announcer, an introduction (feature is live!), and finale (feature is live!) with optional random rewards, will add more chances for the less-experienced players to get a shot at 1st Place! You will customize your game piece with skins and hats. A Free Play mode (feature is live!) for minigames will provides extra options, challenges, and high scores to beat.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We already have a fully playable game for 1-4 players. You can select the number of players, and one of 3 game boards - House Party, Pirate Cove, and Frozen Peak. Throughout each game you and your opponents will challenge our 14 minigames, from the sword slicing Salad Samurai to the creepy shooter Mummy Mayhem. Check our update posts to see everything else we've added.

You navigate a game board by tossing dice and selecting from branching paths, like the Mario Party style we're paying homage to, with minigames giving you the chance for bonus coins and stars.

Nuisance attacks (via keyboard controls, or optionally using our webapp) provide asymmetric gameplay, allowing the non-VR players to pester the current VR player with ink on their eyes, a swarm of bees, and more!

More features will be introduced rapidly, but the price may increase too, so we hope you'll take a chance on us sooner than later!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're excited to get feedback and suggestions as we develop a new VR gameplay experience. Please keep in touch, and we'll be addressing all of your feedback on a regular basis.”
