About This Game

Game Outline
The Winning Post series is based on Japanese horse-racing. In it, players become owners/breeders and experience the drama between the people and horses of the horseracing world.
In this latest numbered title since the release of Winning Post 8 in 2014, we focus on depicting the seat-gripping clashes between powerful horses and their riders in rival showdowns. Unique rivals will use all their skills and strategies to defeat the player as they both aim for the winner's circle.
Also, we've established a Bond Command system that offers various effects for training and breeding. Bond Commands are obtained through race results, and also as you expand your connections with other jockeys, trainers, and breeders. This system blends together "drama," where growing relations develop on all sides and "strategy," where the properly timed usage of these Bond commands will influence the course of the battle the system will allow a new play cycle, running from horse birth to racing, for all players to enjoy.
In addition, we will greatly enhance the visuals, starting with the turf and dirt, but focusing on race scenes, like the changes in the horses appearance based on the sand. Also, we will add live announcing unique to the rival showdowns to increasingly add excitement to these fated showdowns between rivals.

Game Features
1. The Thrill of Horse Racing! Dramatic Rival Showdowns!
We will dramatically recreate rival showdowns from horse-racing history, well known races between great horses that drove fans: races like Grass Wonder vs. Special Week and Kitasan Black vs. Satono Diamond. The stables of rival horses will try changing many variables, like races and jockeys, in order to defeat their rivals, exhibiting their own unique strategies to win. Also, since the spirit of the horses themselves will play a large role in the outcome of the race, the players' own strategies must cover more than just the race, and must include the preparations and all the steps leading up to there, as well.
Since rival relations from their racing days are passed down to their foals, we will also depict these showdowns crossing generations!

2. A new horse racing experience given birth by Bond Commands!
By using the system to further depict the drama of horse and human relations that the Winning Post series is known for, these relations become even clearer. By focusing on the bonds nurtured between the various horses and horse-racing related people, the newly established Bond Commands are able to produce a variety of special effects.
Bond Commands cover a wide range of things, including racehorse training, personal relations with star jockeys, broodmares, and more. The player will need to determine the best timing to use these potential assets. These Bond Commands, which incorporate both the drama of bonding and the strategy required by player decisions will give a whole other type of horse owner experience to the game.

3. Breeding World class Horses, challenging new heights!
For maximum enjoyment, not only can player's compete in fierce races with Japan's top horses, but they can also clash horns with international rivals as well. Conditions of race tracks worldwide are replicated. Japan's turf is light, Europe's is heavier and these trends are reflected through the bloodlines. As in reality, we've prepared stages to reflect that "since Japan's lines are bred for the lighter turf, they don't do well in Europe's heavier racetracks." Players work to grasp the potential of each bloodline and nurture a horse that can do well around the world, allowing them to simulate the thrill of competing against strong foreign horses.

4. The greatest horse racing scenes in horse racing game history!
We strive to provide the best visuals, starting with race scenes at the track. We will strive for realistic renditions of horses bodies as they round the corner, the turf and dirt, changes in horse appearing due to sand and so on. We will include the recently reopened Longchamp Racecourse in Paris, giving fans the chance to quickly enjoy that impressive open stretch. For sound, we have added announcing for the rival showdowns, a series first, to bring even more fervor to these thrilling turf battles.
