What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Theres a lack of mecha games out there in comparison to other genres, I hope to start early access to build up support.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I estimate half a year to a years time, depending on the funding during early access, maybe I can get voice acting in? That would be the dream! Early access will be the time where art content, sound effects, and other minor tweaks to the code are added to the game. The game will be playable, just lacks content and polish.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will be like the early access except have a more complete array of content. All feature primary features will be in the game at early access. Only planned changes will be more missions, maps, mechas, and maybe slight quality of life changes. Note that data might be wiped at release, but is unlikely.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently in development, as such the current build contains A completed menu, steam multiplayer and LAN multiplayer. Along with a full featured mecha customization and an in-game store with in game currency (NO MICRO-TRANSACTIONS!). However the initial early access release will also feature 5 mechas, 3 maps, and 1 missions completed.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“A big role is feedback by the community, what they like and don't like. However not everything can be changed, so I'm looking more towards the balancing side of things to be modified via community feedback. Feedback can be given through the steam discussion board.”

Workshop Support!

Major Features/ Improvements in Update v2.5:

> Steam Workshop Support
> Improved Stats Display
> Improved Multiplayer Features
> New Test Mecha Map (w.i.p.)
> Minor Tweaks and Adjustments/ Bug Fixes

Steam workshop support is here! Now what exactly does it do? Steam workshop support allows you to export your mecha's design to steam workshop to share with others! (a much more efficient alternative to just exporting to local disk).

Whats included in the export file?

> The mech design (decor, limbs, weapons, and color)
> Thumbnail of mecha taken from the cameras perspective upon clicking export

Where can I find my subscribed files?

> They should appear in the same place you'd find your local exports (in game)

Other Improvements: Stats and Multiplayer

Menu/ Mecha:

> Stats have been modified to now display when you hover over, thus allowing you to see ALL the info at one glance instead of having a scroll bar like the old implementation!
> Mechas now have slightly improved UIs

Multiplayer features:

> Lobby modifications (auto teams, max players, etc...) have now been implemented! (still contains some bugs).
> A Chat box has now been included so you can communicate with people in the lobby.
> Server Browser! When you create a lobby, choose from private or public, public will have your lobby show up in the server browser while private lobbies will only allow friends in your friends list to see and join
> Steam Invites! As long as your in a lobby/ game you can invite friends to your game! (ONLY HOST CAN SEND A SUCCESSFUL INVITE!)

Performance/ Visual Effects:

> Moved some computation to dedicated threads to slightly improve CPU performance (CPU wasn't even an bottleneck, so you'd probably see near no improvements in frame rate)
> Added Texture Streaming in settings to improve performance
> Added new Ambient Occlusion (GTAO) in settings

Sneak Peak of the New Test Map?

About This Game

Conjure the power of a Seraphim (class of mecha) in Seraphims of Astraeus to fly through the skies set ablaze by the onslaught of hellfire drawn upon by skyward bound warships. Traverse the land burdened by the crisis of past civilizations at unimaginable speeds, dash past the oncoming crossfire, engaging in heavy artillery mechanized combat, and defeat the vessels of war forged the ones who dare to tarnish the sanctity of an alternate Pangaea.

Seraphims of Astraeus is a semi-realistic, part arcade-y, fast pace mecha shooter inspired by the likes of Armored Core, Gundam, and other mecha franchisee. Customize your mechas to your liking with regards to limbs, weapon, and color. Then put your creations to the test in the heat of battle against other players with Steam and LAN supported multiplayer or if cooperative play is more your taste, gather your friends and dive into the prehistoric world of Pangaea.
