What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The goal of Early Access is to gather player feedback, and ensure that the game is as balanced and polished as possible. Although the core of the game is implemented, there are still features that need to be added and shaped, and being able to get player feedback for them is of utmost importance.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The current plan is up to 1 year, the game should be finalized by then.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“One of the main goals of the game is to have something quick and fun to play, without having to invest a lot of time into a single play session. And for many players, it may be more satisfying to beat other human players, rather than a computer-controlled enemy. This makes online multiplayer with matchmaking and leaderboards the biggest planned feature of the game.

There are, however, some more features to be added besides multiplayer, such as localization or achievements.

Besides features, there is also a plan to add more creatures to the game, to allow creation of more varied armies. While the desired creature count is not yet final, it is more than double of what is currently available.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of the game has a working battle system, which you can enjoy either by playing through the adventure mode or playing a local duel against a friend. There are 17 creatures to be used in combat at this point, many of which have unique abilities that will not be shared with other creatures. Adventure mode contains a generous selection of battles, but many of them will have to be updated once more creatures are added to the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price will be increased gradually as more content and features are added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“There are currently two main areas of the development, where the voice of community will be very important. Some of the features are in their early stages, and community feedback will help shape them in a way that will make them enjoyable. The other important aspect of the game is the balance. It is very difficult to properly balance a game with only a handful of people, because you might miss some powerful combos or interactions.”
