What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Armajet is a cross platform multiplayer arena shooter featuring a deep metagame and crafting system. Super Bit Machine is dedicated to keeping the game fair and based on skill, never pay to win. To that end, we are excited to share with you the opportunity for fair and fun cross play for players of all experience levels using our proprietary physics and netcode engine. We love our community and we are excited to continue to collaboratively develop Armajet with you!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It’s hard to tell given that we anticipate getting lots of feedback from the Early Access community that we will definitely want to address before moving on. We can safely say that Armajet will be in heavy development in Early Access for at least the next three to six months -- at which point we hope to release it in full and reach even more platforms. However, Armajet will continue to evolve as an entertainment service and supporter of competitive play to its community long after that.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In addition to refining the rough edges of gameplay we have several goals that are already well underway (and some that are still in early discussion / design phases). We may not get to all of them in Early Access depending on the feedback we get from the community, but here is our rough list:
  • More maps
  • Interactive map props
  • New competitive game modes
  • More flightsuits
  • More customizables for flightsuits
  • Revamped seasons and a new system for season rewards
  • Additional weapon mods to craft
  • Weapon mod stat change variants
  • Legendary weapon mod affixes
  • Enhanced armory user interface
  • Enhanced game HUD user interface
  • Clan chat and more ways for the clan to play collaboratively
  • Better spectator mode for streamers

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Armajet is functional and stable. It has many mods for crafting with cosmetic changes to the weapons. It has friending, user profiles, challenges, and directives. There are several maps to play. We think it's a lot of fun!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Armajet will always be free! We will of course be tweaking prices here and there, with the overriding goal being to ensure that the game is never pay to win!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“To give a good example of how we support the community, when we saw that players wanted to organize tournaments we implemented the first version of the custom games feature. Then, when we noticed that they were having trouble getting good footage to stream we enhanced the spectator camera. Going forward we hope to have a fully fledged spectator mode. This whole path of development was born from the needs of the community. We expect to continue to address needs like this as we proceed through Early Access!

We are also constantly watching comments and active in the following places (and have a great and growing team of moderators that help us address important issues quickly when we are heads down on the game):

CUSTOMIZE YOUR PILOT in Armory V2 - Update 1.3.X is NOW LIVE!

Welcome to one of the most anticipated and all-around mega-huge, extra-chunky important updates of Armajet Early Access! Before we breakdown Update 1.3.X's release notes, we want to take a moment to thank all of the community contributions leading up to this point—your voice is heard loud and clear here at Super Moon Base and we've worked hard to accompany this update with more customization features you want (and a female Pilot finally!) and overhauls to the career progression system, bounties, directives, and store changes. With changes this big, our amazing community should have much to celebrate and discuss over the holiday season. Let's dig into the details of Update 1.3.X while you're watching the ARMORY V2 Official Guide!

WHATS NEW IN 1.3.4 (iOS) and 1.3.5 (Android/Steam)

CROSS-PLATFORM FEATURES
  • The all-new ARMORY V2 has arrived! Introducing our starting lineup of Pilots: Kruger, Ana, and 1337—customize and explore your Pilot's available flightsuits, skin mods, and jet trails and show off in every victory!
  • Weapon galleries within ARMORY V2 have been updated! Check out the new Weapon info and progression indicators and scroll through your available weapon gallery when selecting weapons and Ultimates for your loadout.
  • Seasonal Leaderboard rewards are now available for the Top 100 Pilots! Get Paragon after every season: 2000 Paragon for 1st Place, 1000 Paragon for 2nd Place, 500 Paragon for 3rd Place and 250 Paragon for the rest of Top 100!
  • Addressed various gameplay and netcode related bugs (ONGOING PROCESS)
THE BIG PROGRESSION AND STORE UPDATE
  • Attention ALL Pilots! We've listened to your feedback and have carefully tuned the progression system including Bounty Timers, Directive Timers, and most importantly Pilot Level-to-Weapon Requirements—all of these have been significantly lowered in requirements in order to maximize weapon variation for our community, especially for Team Deathmatch mode, upcoming tournaments, and general content creator usage. Access more weapons quicker and show us what you and your teams do with them!
  • Dynamic Store prices have been adjusted and 'Bundles' are now available for unlocking and crafting more weapon mods!
  • Pilots, Flightsuits, and Jet Trails are now available for purchase through ARMORY V2!
NEW USER TUTORIAL AVAILABLE
  • All new recruits will be presented with an Armajet Flight Controls, Weapon Use, Ultimate Activation and Bounty Unlocking tutorial! (This step is skipped for our Armajet veterans, but you'll be able to check it out by logging out of your Super Bit ID!)
  • WHAT'S IN THE FUTURE
  • Holiday sweets and stocking stuffers could be on the way...
  • Stay tuned for the Armajet "12 Days of Christmas" Streamer rewards special event!
  • Maps and game mode options coming up!
  • Armajet merchandise... are you ready, Pilot?
Dev Notes: Armory V2 is an incredible milestone for all of us as it sets up the foundation of future Pilot and Weapon customization options in all future Armajet releases. You can almost imagine where more UI/Menu items could slot in within the Pilot-Armory submenu. We also love the more streamlined option to scroll through your selected Weapons and any unlocked mods upfront (with a bonus added benefit of optimizing the menus with less 3D assets). We also welcome our first female flightsuit AND A.I. flightsuit for more Pilot options. And jet trail customization... we really can't stop talking about the excitement of ARMORY V2...maybe just watch the Armory V2 guide for more! :).

Massive changes to the progression system have started, especially with Pilot-to-Weapon level requirements (newer users will observe that the Nightfall is now unlocked at Pilot Level 73 which means any Veteran Pilot since Day 1 of Early Access may find themselves close to unlocking the most advanced weapon in the game). Directive timers have been significantly reduced (halved to be exact) and Bounty timers are down to 1hr each! Needless to say, many of these changes are to completely improve your pilot progression experience in unlocking weaponry (and seeing more of these weapons in the arenas in general). Fair warning: these changes do not change the pre-requirements of actually obtaining kills to progress! Skill2Win always!

Lastly, each and every end of season now rewards our Top 100 pilots with Paragon! While we develop a beefier rewards system, this was icing on the cake to release with an update this big. Let us know what you think of Update 1.3.X and thank you for your continued support of Armajet!

We'll see you in the skies, Pilot!

November 19

Welcome to CANYON - UPDATE 1.2.8 is LIVE!

Greetings, Pilots!

Update 1.2.8 gives way to the all-new Canyon map, remade and remastered (remixed?) for all jetpack deathmatches going forward within the Armajet universe. This long awaited map is currently the ultimate 4v4 testing ground which even opens up more unexplored weapon loadout choices. What would you do differently in this map for TDM? For new games modes? Let us know what you think below after you watch the official Canyon Map Breakdown.

On top of Canyon now being 100% available in map rotation, we've noticed that a few balance changes are in order for the Phantom (Buff), Enforcer (Nerf), and Marauder (Nerf) weapons. We feel these changes will not necessarily change your playstyle with them but rather make your choice to use these weapons even more important when available. Good players will use them even more effectively, while graduating pilots will learn the penalties of any misfires.

Lastly, we've been continuously rolling out more back-end server updates (thank you Discord community for the consistently quick feedback!) to tighten up the netcode, hitreg, rubber-banding issues across all regions. Matchmaker queue times have also been raised to widen the net for players reaching more human players for matches.

Don't forget to leave feedback in all the usual places - with the most pertinent issues being raised here on Reddit.

Good luck this November season and we'll see you in the skies!

-Super Bit Machine
