What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are using Early Access because we want to take players on a journey through the development of Newfound Courage, starting with part one. The community and our supporters have so far provided our team with invaluable feedback, so releasing the game into Early Access will help me create a better game overall.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At this moment we are aiming for a full release by February or March, 2019.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“What we are releasing to Early Access at this stage is part one of a three part story. The final version of the game will of course include all three parts of the story. We plan on releasing part two and three into Early Access when they reach a reasonable level of polish, and ideally these will incorporate feedback from the Early Access part one.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently consists of the first (roughly) 45 minutes of game play. This includes several puzzles, tasks and quests, as well as, a significant amount of story. The game is stable and has no game breaking bugs. The development is still in progress however, so there is a chance that issues will occur in our current build and in creating the second and third part of the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We expect that the game will have a higher price on release than during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We run a Discord sever where our community can directly contact the games developers in order to provide feedback at any time. Not every idea will be implemented into the game. However, we do respect every ones opinions and will always work to make sure we are doing the best thing for the community, the game and its story. In addition to this, a detailed weekly blog is written that includes information about what we did to improve the game that week.”
