Why Early Access?

“Slumber Clause will be released episodically. Each of the game's planned three episodes will be comprised of multiple chapters and hours of narrative content. The game will be considered Early Access and priced at a discount until all three episodes have been released. The episodes will be released as part of the main game rather than as DLC or separate packages.”

“The game is slated to be in Early Access until Spring 2021.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game will contain all chapters and be polished to full release quality.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is still in initial development. Beyond the free demo, which is now available, the first content ready for public release in Early Access will be Episode I in late 2020.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Each time an episode is added to the game, the price of the game will rise until the game is content complete and polished, at which point it will no longer be in Early Access and will be available for its full release price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As we release new episodes, we encourage Early Access players to provide feedback on the experience and inform us of any bugs/issues they find by posting to the Slumber Clause community forums here on Steam.
We will post discussion topics and regular updates on the forums, as well as in the game's Recent Events & Announcements section.
While releases of the full game on other platforms are planned, Early Access to Slumber Clause will be exclusively available on Steam.”

About This Game


Slumber Clause is a roleplaying, point-and-click throwback to the classic text adventures of the 80s and 90s with modern choice mechanics and a character-driven story about nightmares, death, and ephemera—all in glorious 4:3.

Play as a recently-widowed paramedic mom battling a mean case of sleep paralysis. When you're not trying to hold your waking life together, you're navigating surreal dreams of unspeakable beauty and endless possibilities that always seem to end in tragedy. All the while, a hooded figure stalks you. Collect clues to discover who they are and what they want.

Slumber Clause will be released episodically using Steam's Early Access system, with pricing for the entire game increasing when each new episode is added.
