Why Early Access?

“While the game is already fully playable from start to finish, I feel that it needs more time and player feedback to help shape and balance the difficulty. If I release the game in Early Access I can get feedback which can help determine difficulty level and which (if any) additions the community would enjoy the most and which will end up in the final product.”

“6 - 12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final game MAY or MAY NOT contain some or all of the following elements depending on time, generated income from Early Access, and player interest based on feedback from Early Access. To be clear, this is a wish list, but not necessarily feasible or even necessary to play and enjoy the game.

-More arrival scene drawings and music
-More mini games and variety in mini games
-Ship and player upgrades
-Space Ship comm taunting
-More varied enemy ship Ai behaviours
-Crew discussions during travel
-Menu for viewing previously viewed arrival drawings and music
-More and different space mini games
-More and different FPS mini game types
-Reputation system
-Kids mode (disable violent parts)
-More in depth controller support. Show buttons based on type of controller (xbox, ps4, etc).

Please keep in mind I am not saying any and/or all these items will make it into the game. They are just things I'd like to see implemented depending on time, funds, and the amount of potential interest from the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is fully playable from start to finish and a complete game in its own right.
At this stage in the Early Access (January 2, 2019) the game is very close to how it will be in its final form.

The features implemented in this version include:
-Travel to each planet along the hyperspace delivery route.
-Trade, purchase, sell supplies
-Manage supplies such as fuel, oxygen, food, health kits, and more
-Various CYOA ways to obtain supplies that do NOT involve mini games. Such as mine fuel from stars, mine oxygen from atmosphere, scan for abandoned materials, work at space stations, give planetary tours from your shuttle, plus many more.
-Repair your ship
-Rest your crew
-No temporary art work.
-30 minutes of original music
-Multiple FPS mini game types
-Multiple Space flying mini game types
-Local high scores
-And much more!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price on official launch should be around $10 to $15 depending on how many new features are added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I am hoping the community will share their experience with the game in detail so that I can use that feedback to help shape the balance and difficulty. I can also use the community's opinions to help shape both further development and the current and possible future mini games.”

News and Patch Uploaded: Early Access .84

Hi Everyone,

Here is a new patch uploaded that fixes a few bugs.
-Fix space mines not obeying game volume
-Fix space mines remaining alive after mini game ends
-Intel can now be found as a reward for certain missions
-Fix fuel extraction achievement ​​
-Fix end game achievement ​

At this point I'm still collecting feedback and bug reports but ultimately I'd like to start wrapping the 1.0 version up and get ready for a release. I think we'd be looking at April or early May for an official release.

Up until now I have not been making mac or linux builds as they take time to make and it felt better to spend time on the game. So, I think soon I'll start posting builds for mac and linux!

New Version Uploaded: Early Access .8

Hi Everyone,
As we inch toward a final release, I've added a bunch of changes that are aimed at balance, refinement, and polish. One of the bigger points is to bring focus away from the mini games and more into the management side of things.

In all honesty I find that this release is a bit easy for myself to play through (on medium) but since I am so intimate with the game, I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I would like to hear feedback from others on how difficult the game is for them, especially those that haven’t played much or at all.

-Increase wormhole study reward
-Add confirmations to passenger event choices
-fix being able to order soup without having enough credits
-fix travel times during hyperspace
-New UI for purchasing intel.
-Add UI for viewing intel in various places such as store screen, trading, nav, etc..
-SPACE: projectiles colliding will now always destroy each other.
-New Event find robot floating in space.
-fix pirate blockades appearing on planets with no stores.
-fix repeating FPS mini game types
-NEW Background art for various sections of the ship.
-Fix FPS robots not having correct health causing them all to be destroyed with 2 shots. Now different robots will correctly survive different amounts of hits.
-Add melee weapon for the security officer in FPS
-SPACE, increase enemy count during mini games.
-Various small UI fixes.

What’s next?
I’d like to keep adjusting the balance based on feedback and polishing the game up. At this point I’m looking at an April launch, I think. No promises.

Located on the other side of explored space, the trip to Miridian V will be a dangerous yet lucrative journey full of mad robots and unpredictable stellar phenomenon.
Can you and your crew survive the trip? Will you die from the dreaded Telunian flu? Hyperspace Delivery Service offers an exciting and strategically challenging journey where you must manage your fuel, oxygen, food, and various other supplies to make your delivery within the target time.

Choose what kind of captain you will be.
