Why Early Access?

“Krenus is a huge planet and Albedon Wars has a lot of unique mechanics that need to be absorbed and understood by the players.

We decided to develop all the mechanics first to see them in action on a smaller scale (two regions), taking feedback from the community to improve them and balance the game.

Early Access will serve to build the subsequent regions based on community advice, as well as tuning and balancing the existing mechanics.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It could take from 12 to 18 months.
Developing the game has required more than 3 years so far.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full version we plan to add some new mechanics and to expand the world:

• 1 more explorable region (from 2 to 3)
  
• 4 more playable races (from 4 to 8)
  
• 16 more playable characters (from 16 to 32)
  
• New cards
  
• New units with unique abilities
  
• New quests and dungeons
  
• New battle modes

The interface may also be subject to improvements based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Two regions are fully developed, as are the core PvE and PvP mechanics.

There are 4 playable races with 4 different characters each, two unique storylines, one each faction, and a lot of units and cards to collect.

The world of Krenus also features some rogue-like dungeons, granting a challenging field where even the most hardcore players will be able to measure their unique squad of Albedonite Hunters.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We don’t plan to change the initial price unless we add more content than what is already scheduled.
Further contents such as completely new regions will probably be sold as DLCs.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will gather feedback mainly on Reddit and Discord. Discord will be used for daily communication while Reddit will be the place for longer discussions.
We also have a bug report form accessible to all players.

We also plan to take into consideration new features and changes proposed by the players if they gather enough consensus (ie: upvotes on Reddit).”
