What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Limouzik is the spell checker for music.

Play, it's in tune. You don’t even need to learn music

But Limouzik is based on a breakthrough innovation that can be very easily understood by a musician. A complete novice will have to either consult the videos to understand the software on You tube, or find a musician who will explain him how works the converter and what are the parts of the keyboard. For copyright reasons, Limouzik offers only a few free partitions.

We want to know what thinks people of our software, in order to make changes to make it accessible to most people.

The product is still fragile. Limouzik has been tested and runs on many computers and with all operating systems but due to the increasing number of media and the rapid evolution of versions, we are obliged to remain cautious.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“From 3 to 9 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The application has mostly the musical heart of the project, users can test a new way to play music.
The version is not complete and several improvements are planned.
The graphics engine used will be changed in the future. It will upgrade the graphics performances of the application but also improve other features.
The application can also integrate new features expected by users. The sound engine will also be optimized to better qualities sounds.
Limouzik offers "Says" and "Cursus" games. New games are already planned and the whole application will be gamified with scores and levels and the addition of new partitions”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is fully operational for the main musical functions. The adjustment and setting functions must be consolidated. The beat box, recording, virtual synth and games are still in development.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price should not vary.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The company is listening to all users. We are aware that our application is still fragile and could incorporate new innovative features based on the music engine.

Limouzik team has a Discord available on the official website and will be available on the Steam Forum to communicate with the users. We expect from users constructive feedbacks on these platforms to help us improve Limouzik.”

About This Software

Limouzik is a software that transform your computer into a music instrument and makes you a musician.

Limouzik is based on classical harmony and the relationship between chords of the same key (used in the famous 4 chords songs). Depending on the selected chord, the algorithm continuously recalculates the pitch of the notes of the other keys in order to always play correctly.

The philosophy behind Limouzik is to make music creation accessible to as many people as possible. Without solfeggio or training, Limouzik allows to reproduce, as with a piano or a guitar, classical, folk, popular and variety.

By grouping on the same key a complete chord of three notes, constantly recalculated by the algorithm, the user becomes almost instantly an instrumentalist able to play music as varied as Beethoven or the Beatles...
