Early Access Launch Date!

Factory Town will launch into Steam Early Access on...

So that's in just about a month! Going to be working hard on getting some final art assets in there, fixing any big gameplay bugs that crop up, improving tutorials, and localizing.

I'm choosing Early Access at this time because I think the game is fun & playable for dozens or hundreds of hours, and will be worth the purchase price on day 1, but I could really use a larger set of players to offer feedback on balancing & prioritization of some advanced features & quality-of-life improvements.

It will be $20, and I'll likely do a launch discount.

As always, looking forward to sharing this game with everyone!

January 2019 update

Hi everyone! Although I've been quiet on these Steam forums, I've been hard at work on the game the past several months. Based on playtesting it's shaping up really well, and am hoping to launch this March!

It will probably be Early Access, just because it's such a big game and there's lots of stuff to add and polish - at the same time players are really enjoying it and I think it's time to open it up to a wider audience so I can get more feedback about what features and improvements to prioritize.

If you want to get more frequent news about game updates or ask questions, stop by the Discord server - I'm on there all the time.

In the meantime, I suggest adding this game to your Steam Wishlist so you get a notification when it's released. Thanks for your time and hope to have this out for you all as soon as it's ready!

About This Game

Start with just a few workers and a single building in the middle of the wilderness. Explore your surroundings and harvest trees, crops, and minerals, then process them into increasingly valuable goods.

Invest in research to unlock automated machinery and logistics to optimize your transport networks & production chains, eventually discovering magic-powered systems that allow clever players to boost their efficiency to extreme levels.
