Por que acesso antecipado?

"Windfall is Early Access because it is an open world-exploration type simulator. Similar to other great Early Access games such as Kerbal Space Program and Hotdogs Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, Windfall is going to receive regular updates to its content as development progresses. The game will have the core features to sailing and then will be filled with content as Early Access proceeds."

"The Early Access version of Windfall will be focused on getting the mechanics of sailing correct and ensuring people have fun sailing a limited number of boats around. Later versions will expand on the boat selection and the world types that players can sail. There may even be some adventure component to the non-Early Access game!"

"Windfall currently has the basics of sailing complete. The physics for floating, ropes and sails are all implemented. It also has multiplayer ready, allowing you to sail with strangers and friends alike. There is a single large 10km wide map with various stuff to find. You can set up races with other sailors all online.

The core of the game is there and as early access proceeds, the updates will focus on content and optimization for the game. Subtle things like sails interacting with each other due to wind will be done by the end of Early Access (hopefully). Other stuff will be released, such as new boats, new maps, more game modes and perhaps a survival mode!"

"Upon exit from Early Access, the game's price will probably increased from between 50% and 100% (or up to double)."

Ever wanted to go sailing, but afraid you will die at sea? Or do you live so far from the sea that you just can't do it? Do you have a Steam VR ready headset? Then this game is for you!

Windfall is a sailing simulator like no other. Accurately simulating sailing physics in real time, this is the only virtual reality sailing game that will give you a feeling of what is like to actually sail.

Multiplayer

Never be a lonely sailor. Sail with your friends on your boat or sail against your friends in another boat. Supports multiplayer with voice chat. Set up races or simply cruise around the virtual islands.

Learn

Get the knowledge you need to sail in a safe environment. Literally learn the ropes all within Virtual Reality. Full VR wands are supported. Reach out and grab the tiller, grab the ropes and set the right tack.

Physics Galore

Windfall accurately calculates all the forces involved in sailing. From the buoyancy of the boat, to the forces on the sail, to fairly realistic ropes. Get the true feeling of sailing across the ocean blue.

Early Access

This game is early access, which means it will be receiving updates throughout the development of it. At release, it will be feature rich, but content poor with more stuff to do being added regularly.
