What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Our core mechanics and basic game mode readily lend themselves to the creation of new game modes and additional mechanics. With so many options, we would like to use community feedback to see what we should focus on, such as what kind of new mechanics or game types would be interesting to the playerbase.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect between six to eight months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Besides improving the presentation, we’re planning on adding online multiplayer in addition to new game modes and new types of slimes. It all depends on what the players would like to see!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of the game is a fully-playable game with two main game modes - an Arcade mode where the player competes to score higher than their opponent, and an Endless mode where the player tries to see how high they can score.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Early Access will be cheaper than the final product as a thank-you to the players who have helped shape the direction of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan on obtaining feedback from the Steam community through the reviews and forum posts. Additionally, we are glad to accept emails!”

About This Game

Falling Slime is an arcade stack ’em up that combines matching puzzlers with Falling Sand style games. Linking four or more slimes of one color causes them to ‘pop’ into particles of various ‘elements’, which then fall below the slime line. The player must balance setting up combos of matches with keeping the sandbox clear via the interaction of the elemental particles. If either the sandbox or slimebox get filled, it’s game over!
