First Official Patch! (July 13, 2018)

Long time, no see!

To prep for the big, free, and upcoming 'SECRETS UPDATE', I wanted to patch a few issues that I have noticed, and some pointed out to me by the community. I know it sounds kinda lame, but this is my first official 'patch notes', and I'm kinda psyched. So without further ado:

  • Ideas (aka: citizens) no longer can be talked to through walls
  • You can no longer get stuck on the dock on Thursday
  • Rainclouds now always appear and disappear when they should
  • Ideas no longer get stuck by the swingset
  • Fixed a visual issue near the clifftops
  • Katie should no longer fail to talk at times if you stay in her vicinity
  • Katie sits properly on her log on the final day
  • Changed an "it's" to an "its" (MAJOR)
  • Katie won't stop and 'wait for the player' if the player is ahead of her
  • probably some other stuff

Thank you for all who purchased and played my game! It means the world ~
New, extra content is coming this summer!

I heard some of you liked the soundtrack! If you haven't purchased the Gratitude Pack, the full soundtrack is now up on Youtube for you to have a listen - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIPzdTXk8ekNowIK48tkVSexQwXFtqvQU

Katie Launches

It's been a crazy few weeks, interspersed between exams and general business, but Katie is done!

... or is it?

I'm very proud with how Katie is in its current state, and am very happy I can share it with you! However, I have more planned, but no time to do it for a few weeks. So, whilst Katie is in a finished state, prepare yourselves for updates to come.

Thank you for your time and support, and for checking out my project. I hope you enjoy your time here. :)

About This Game

An isolated town.
Dozens of ensnared citizens.
Each with their own thoughts, each with their own reasons for ending up here.

But only one will listen.
Find her.

Katie, at it's core, is a game about understanding. About talking, dwelling, thinking. Walk around, speak to people, explore the town, uncover secrets (if that's your thing), and listen to Katie. Written during a time of immense personal transition, Katie is a casual yet vulnerable reflection on friendship, dealing with loss, and the pursuit of meaning in the midst of chaos. It's an expression of mind laid bare in a vicarious manner, and a narrative of a life on the verge of sanity.

  • A fully realized, living, 3D pixel-art town, cut off from the rest of society and ready for exploration.
  • Dozens of handmade citizens, each with their own look and Idea that they're willing to express. Talk to them, ignore them, or let them be.
  • A vulnerable narrative that unfolds over a week as you interact with the individual that gave this game it's namesake, and seek to understand what drives the heart of the town.
  • Walk around, look around, be around.
  • Secrets, with more to come.
  • Fully realized swings (to relive your elementary days).
