What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The last three years we've been working hard on Landinar: Into the Void. The game is nearing completion. The game is already fun to play, and we feel it is time to involve players to shape the final parts of the game and its development. The early access release is an open world sandbox where you are free to explore the universe, take on missions, find tech and build your own space ship.

With this early access release our main goal is to complete a story mode campaign. During early access we will also keep expanding the game while listening to you as a player to pinpoint our priorities and additional features.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We already have a rough idea and several parts of the story campaign finished, but there is still a lot work to do. We expect a final release about a year after the early access release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The early access release focuses on the core game loop – letting you have fun in an explorable quadrant of our universe.

We are planning to release several updates during early access with:
  • more random encounters/events
  • more parts, guns and options for your ship
  • more enemies, NPC's, missions and sectors to explore

The final release will have a full story mode campaign with (branching) main and side missions. We will also consider suggestions from the community for additional features and content.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The initial early access release will has an open world sandbox with 10+ sectors to explore, with stations, missions, NPCs, and enemies.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to incrementally increase the price during the early access period, based on player feedback.

There will be no discounts during the early access period.*

*Excluding coupons generated through Trading Cards and a discount for owners of Convoy

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Steam will be our main platform to interact with our community. However we are also active on Discord, Reddit, Twitter and Facebook.

Join us on:
Twitter: @convoy_games
Facebook: Convoy Games

Though we cannot guarantee we'll be able to implement all suggestions, we are going to consider all feedback. We are planning to regularly ask the community for input on planned and implemented features. You'll also be able to track our development.”

“It’s showing great promise.”

“Landinar: Into the Void is an excellent space adventure with deeply customizable starships, intense combat, and a fantastic feature of seamlessly moving from starship control to interior pilot control.”

About This Game

Imagine Freelancer as a top-down RPG. In Landinar: Into the Void you start as a rookie bounty hunter in the oppressive Landinar Empire. Explore the universe to meet diverse characters, fight your battles and build your own space ship to fit your personal playing style.

Meet diverse characters throughout the quadrant by docking your ship and exploring stations on foot. Choose who to aid under the oppressive Landinar regime. As a starting bounty hunter, you can also visit the stations' bounty boards to accept randomly generated bounty missions for credits and rewards.

Gather hull templates and ship parts to build your own space ship. What strategy will you choose? Do you prefer speed or gunpower? Build your ship to match your personal playing style at the stations' ship builders and fly off into space in your own custom ship.

Traverse through the Landinar sectors and pick your battles. Choose from 10+ weapon types to find your personal strategy and take down your enemies in real time top-down space combat. Hop out of your cockpit mid-combat to repair broken down rooms with your repair gun, reload your weapons or change your engine boost settings.

Discover the Landinar quadrant, warp from sector to sector and explore stations, hidden areas and secrets at your own pace. You decide where to go next, whether it is continuing the main story or making your own adventure.

In Landinar: Into the Void you create your own adventure. You decide what to do, who to talk to, who to fight and how big (or small) your space ship is going to be!

  • The quadrant: Explore the quadrant of Landinar: into the Void any way you like. Travel to 10+ (with more to come) different sectors to find new people, tech and different types of enemies.
  • Build your own spaceship: Gather hull templates and parts to design and build your own ship. Do you prefer speed or gunpower? Build your ship to match your personal playing style.
  • Seamless scaling: Dock your ship, walk around a station, get into the cockpit and seamlessly fly out into space whenever you feel like it.
  • Enjoy the universe at your own pace: Decide where to go, who you work for and how you complete your objectives.
