What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“CRUSH has been in development for over a year. Along they way it has garnered a small following of 700+ from Gamejolt, with the early builds being rated 4/5. I think an Early Access release through Steam will be a great a tool to help this game's potential and be another mile stone toward it's completion.

CRUSH wouldn't be where it's at now without it's players making video reviews and sending me feedback. Steam EA will open more doors to hear opinions and make a better game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“3-6 Months to 1 year. It depends on the features being developed and the response from the community. Salt & Pixel is a one man team, but I recently brought on Zach Urtes (artist for 20XX) to help with creation of the game assets to speed up development.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of CRUSH is planned to have more arenas, weapons, and enemy types. Also a store to purchase upgrades, mech suites to control, traps to avoid and various ways to proceed through the arena.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build allows you to play through the first arena (1 or 2 player). It's main mechanics play much like a classic arcade shoot'em up.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan on raising the price once all of the features are put into effect. So now is a great time to support this game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Salt & Pixel is a small company. One benefit of being a small company is that we rely on players instead of a bank account, "latest graphics", and false E3 trailers. We are open to suggestions and value the opinions of our players. If there is something you don't like or something you want to see. Send a message or create a discussion.”

Upcoming Updates

Hello! if It feels like I haven't updated the game in a while, it's because the next update is big - I'm adding a new arena, and my day job picked up. So I'm going to split the update into smaller parts. Some of the updates will be small fixes and menu changes.

Thank you for support and let me know if you have any frustrations or ideas for where you see the game going.
