What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“SOS Atlas needs time in the hands of our players to reach our dream of a fun community based game. The game has been through many changes, but the core belief is that SOS Atlas should have player input and interaction. Third Gate Studios wants to work together and form a community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“SOS Atlas will be in early access until we consider it a quality project that deserves the finished label. Third Gate Studios passionately believes that a game can be good with time and communication. The plan is to leave early access by the end of 2019.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version of the game will include a multitude of game modes, additional content, and online multiplayer. In addition, the aim is to include an intricate progression system as well as add more weapons and enemy types to diversify combat. Finally, Third Gate Studios wants the community to take customization in their own hands with Steam Workshop.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“SOS Atlas is currently in Alpha. The current game mode is Capture and Control where players will fight to capture and defend control points. In addition, SOS Atlas has procedurally generated maps for every game mode filled with land features, foliage, and control locations. Last but not least, SOS has tons of in game content such as flashy laser weapons and powerful, player piloted mechs.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price could change during Early Access depending on the amount of content added over time. Third Gate Studios will finalize a set price when leaving Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Third Gate Studios loves games and we plan on taking the communities suggestions very seriously. We are passionate about SOS Atlas and building a healthy community around it. Third Gate Studio wants the community to help create a game they want to play. Feedback and fan response will be crucial throughout the development cycle and we encourage any and all constructive feedback. Third Gate Studios will always provide status updates and support to its gaming community.

You, the community can get invloved in 2 major ways. The first is commenting on our game directly. We take all comments, good or bad very seriously and encourage your feedback. The other option is to fill out a very simple form, this form will be a direct message to us at Third Gate Studios. You can find this form in a link below or on our Steam support page.
